Am I the only one who thought Brandi's closet wasn't that bad in the beginning?? Don't get me wrong; they did a great job. But they made the "Before" seem a lot worse than it actually was.

Omg I was digging for a comment where someone said this! These women are professional organizers, SURELY they’ve seen worse. At least put on a brave face and don’t go omggggg?? When she opens the door? Seems like playing up drama for the show where no drama is? Thought it was weird.

They later on teach the person how to mantain the categories they have created. May be in this episode is not obvious, but they usually think about how to make it easy for the client to keep up the sistem

@@doloresfraga5609 But what if the categories don't work for the client? I agree, they should do it with them, or let them do it themselves like Kondo does. It's their home, they shouldn't have to "keep up".

@@lsamoa I think some people just want the things to be done without any effort. I agree that kondo method is better, helps more to keep the things that way and also to get perspective

@@andreeat2142 Yes, Kondo is much better indeed. My concern with THE is that it might seem like a quick solution without much effort from the part of the client at first, but come next day and they'll probably be struggling with building a routine around it because it doesn't follow their own personal way of doing things but someone elses's. In the Netflix show you notice how many of their clients call them back to fix things again because they couldn't keep it going. It's not sustainable in the long run. Quick fix, long term problem. And repeat clients for these two.

In my closet I put shoes on a shelf with 1 shoe facing front and the 2nd shoe facing back in each pair. Then I can easily see the style (heel height, open toe, etc) when I’m selecting which pair to wear. And I think it looks better also. Try it, you’ll see.

Excellent Video! Apologies for the intrusion, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you thought about - Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (google it)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for decluttering your home minus the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my close friend Aubrey after many years got amazing results with it.

I absolutely hate this reality tv format trash. There was hardly anything useful or worthwhile to glean from this at all, and 90% of it was drama, sensationalism, and filler.

I thought it was just me but I see you caught that too. As soon as she walked out the door the disrespect started. Very rude and tacky. I watch the show on Netflix and didn't expect this. You trust someone in your home, your sacred space, with your most personal belongings, and they do you like this? Very disappointing.

They basically replaced the 'crap' with a more expensive version that does the same thing. Sure, it looks nice but there's a reason she has to work 2 jobs(!), so of course she's going to opt for the cheaper version. Just no need for the snobbery

Right. One Episode they thought they found someone’s placenta, and was all eeewww! On another they find teeth and upon the immature dramatics they dropped a tooth in the sink, a childs tooth. Now I see this? Have they no professionalism at all? I wonder what is the deal they make? Let us humiliate you on tv but you get a free makeover.

That was so fun to watch. The closet transformation was incredible and the date talk at the end was really cute and funny. Just to see your clients face how overjoyed she was with the blush color on how you organized everything perfectly in her closet was very exciting to watch

I have never seen this show nor these women this video was in my feed so I clicked to watch it. I do not like the “fake” acting the kind that starts small drama just to make the show interesting. I would rather watch “clutterbug” here on RU-vid then this show.

Clea has such an overbearing personality. She's really hard to watch. There's very little professionalism, always pointing out some "gross" thing in each persons house.

Cool closet update! Great job finding the blush accessories for the color scheme. I'm disappointed that the closet wasn't given a fresh coat of paint or a really lovely wallpaper on the back wall. I also feel that an additional shelf on the top for additional storage would've been a nice addition.

lsamoa I think it’s for laundry you used once but can easily wear it a second time. I actually don’t think it’s a waste of space because I always have a huge pile of these clothes and it’s great to have a place to put them.

I was appalled at the unprofessionalism. I had previously watched the Netflix show and was not expecting this. Not only did they not cut the "embarrassing part" but she also refers to her clients stuff as crap. (I understand that sometimes it slips and you don't mean it literally but it is a huge habit to break if you wish to be professional and keep costumers). Also the eating in her room if not given permission highly rude. Furthermore, the trying on of clothes (again without permission) was bad manners.

random question...but the pendant lights when Clea's husband is photographing you (at 7:47)..where could I find these? Just moved into a new space that has NO lighting in the living room and bedrooms and runs only on lamps. (there are no lighting fixtures for wired lights). Thanks so much!

i'm sure that lady really wanted the world to see her sex toy. she probably forgot it was in there - a little class, a little decorum and basic respect for other people goes a long way. This was totally unnecessary of them. The woman's self esteem is already clearly rather low don't take away her dignity. I like the end result of their work (basing this opinion on their netflix thing) but i have to have it on in the background on mute because the relentless high pitched shrieking makes my teeth hurt. I'm pretty sure every bat in the country can hear them.

Short answer: ratings. I would not be surprised if the sex toys were even ADDED, with full knowledge and permission of the guest (home owner,) and everyone on the show is getting a shout-out, so they are likely to agree to such things. Organizing is not everyone's cup of tea (read: mostly men), so how to you pull in an additional demographic? Sex. All sad and mundane, but very true.

Ok - you buy the containers without measuring the shelf they're going on? And there's no editing of the clothes at all? I get this is an entertainment show, but for organizing purposes, how do you work like this?

As someone who organizes, I was THROWN when I saw this. No plan? I don't buy that at all. No organizer who makes money just says "ok well lets go shopping and see what we find"....but also 99.9% of us who also have OCD know EXACTLY what the Container Store carries and check their new inventory rofl. Groups like THE also have staples that they always rely on for projects so theres that.

I am not learning how best to organize from this streamlined show... no talking with the owner of her closet to decide what to keep? Yes it does seem they simply eyeball the space as there is no show of measurement. A lot of editing must be going on as they go in without any tools either & we are given no info on how long the whole organization takes, how far is this home to a container store, etc.? So many Qs.

I watched their show on netflix and I guess they get the measurements beforehand. I'm sure there were a lot of things happening BEHIND the camera that we don't see in the show. considering that this video is less than 20minutes. how do you expect them to put it all in?

I'm a photographer too and I hate the up and over angle. It just looks weird. I know no one likes a double chin, but seriously... just trust that your photographer knows how to make you look good.

The thing is, they’re not the same height so it’s gotta be a bit of a challenge to photograph two women. Couples are no problem. Maybe they should also have tried sitting on stools with a nicer background.

I don’t think it was meant to be professional, they are sisters, like to an extent it is professional but I think the point is to show that sisters can work together and help people not necessarily just showing the picture perfect parts.

JayScarim They show how to do it on the Netflix show. You wrap the scarf on your hand and then you take the end of the scarf and pull it through the hole.

Agreed. But it helps to organize and straighten the clothes. You can fit more when it's neat and tidy. Also, it looks like a lot of items are folded and stored in bins now.

They seem to cut the edit part of the home edit out in the RU-vid series. They talk about this a lot in their book and Netflix- this series just doesn’t seem to highlight it. Also, they definitely folded items that were hanging.
