I love your 2nd kitchen or as we aussies would call it a butlers pantry. I did find trying to find places for all the cake decorating stuff was hard then saw someone use a rolling tool chest and so I bought 2x15 draw tool chests so this way when decorating I just roll it out and it has all the colours, dusts, molds, tools etc in one place.....only thing is I need another one for all my things like cake boards and parchment etc. I spent more time buying stuff than using it but eventually will be moving near the grandkids so I can get my bake on then. Mind you when we move there will probably be more beading and cake/cookie decorating gear than the rest of the home furniture that we are transporting. I love the slat wall but it gets kinda dusty here so am thinking of maybe getting a plan draw for all my cookie cutters which will keep them dust free but can still access them easily by labeling the front of the draws.
Thanks, Ali! I didn’t know they call it that! I’ve heard it called a wok or spice kitchen here. It seems like every time I organize I get more things and need to switch up the organization too 😂 I think the slat wall is the one thing I don’t need to switch up. Luckily I’m in and out of that kitchen so much that it prevents the dust from settling. Nice to hear from you, Ali 💕
I have been needing to do the cookie cutter tip (pegboard etc) but my walls don't like heavy things and I can just see it fall 😭 I don't want to have to use drawers or bins, but I think that's the route I'm gonna need to go
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe I live in a mobile home and the walls are so thin they don't hold anything. I'll be in a house soon enough where I can hang things more easily. Drawers are OK too, but I have so little space that its hard for me to sufficiently organize and have space for things. My tools of my trade are growing more and more every day and I'm running out of room lol
@@laurasalas1940 oh yes that would be tricky! I’ve seen amazing smaller space organization tips on here. Hopefully you can come up with something that works for you until then 😊
Maybe buying cooling racks with square holes from the dollar store might help. You could attach four to create some sort of cube so they can stay straight. You can also maybe use the cooling racks with over the door storage so you can hang it on a door or something
Hi Erica! Thanks so much for joining me the other day. Sorry for the glitches during my live. I think even at this age you can probably get started with selling to friends and family. What type of things do you like to bake?
