How do you overcome the struggles in life?
Hear from the Kendrick brothers, producers of movies: Overcomer, War Room, Courageous and Fireproof.
Might it be that we could "know our identity in Christ"?
And for our kids, Alex tells, "Our parents asked the Lord to capture our hearts."

I do not believe in God. I believe in the possibility of God, but not the actuality of God ... and certainly not in the goodness of God. I've seen Alex's family videos and it is obvious to me that Alex is a much better father than (imaginary) God is. Compared to Alex, God should be ashamed of Himself. From what I've seen, I'd rather have Alex as a father than God. I don't say this out of the bitterness of an unhappy childhood. Quite the contrary. I had excellent parents and an idyllic childhood. But, for those children that had an abusive childhood, I say: where was God when they needed Him? I see only two possibilities: God is imaginary or He's an asshole.

Wow. Trust me, though a Christian, I’m no fan of the Kendrick brothers films, due to theology issues. What did you mean when you said you being in God’s possibly but not actuality? More agnostic rather than atheist then?

@@patrickc3419 - You're welcome to use whichever word you prefer. I suspect that most people who call themselves atheists are willing to concede the _unlikely_ possibility that there is a god. But, I also suspect that these same atheists (including myself) would find the idea of an all-powerful, all-loving god (Christianity) a logical impossibility. So ... while there _may_ be _some_ kind of creator, it is definitely _not_ the Christian one.

@@Hal_T It sounds as if you don’t have a problem with the Kendricks (whom again, portray in their poor quality films as a genie in a bottle) but with God. The thing is that everyone knows God exists; they choose to suppress the truth in unrighteousness due to the fact they don’t “disbelieve in God” or worship a “false God”; They HATE God. Translation: they’re dead in sin. Literally each and every world religion, be it Islam, Mormonism, Roman Catholicism (the false religion that I was raised), Jehovah’s Witness, Hinduism, whichever, as different as they are surface-wise, say the same thing: Do more “good stuff than bad stuff” and hope for the best. Biblical Christianity says that you’re naturally a rebel and in need of grace. Grace alone by faith alone in Christ alone. You and I would never hear someone post a rage filled RU-vid post in the comment thread calling Santa Claus, Allah, or Bigfoot an “a___hole”.

@@Hal_T It sounds as if you don’t have a problem with the Kendricks (whom again, portray “God” in their awful, poor quality films as a genie in a bottle) but with God. “Definitely” implies absolutes; No God=no absolute, no truths. I would strongly recommend that people avoid the Kendrick brothers films, as they present a massively warped inaccurate view of the Gospel and poor theology.
