This trick has worked for me to help me for years and definitely saved me during a few performances where at first I felt extremely nervous. DavidDiMuzio
I love this. All day I've been switching from "I'm so scared to do this, I don't want to." to "I'm excited, it's going to be fun." This kind of explains that. Something is only as good or bad as you make it out to be in your head. Thank you man
Hi, Kayla. Wanted to reach out to you to connect… 😊 I’ve been a musician for over 15 years now and still experience stage performance anxiety symptoms. As a recent doctoral graduate, I wanted to dive into personal research as I connect with others who experience similar anxieties whether on stage, speaking and presenting in general. Would you be open to sharing some of your valuable insights with me? Just Looking for those willing to help with my research 😊
I’m sitting here in my car nervous about my first performance in five years tomorrow and I watched this and the way it changed instantly was crazy! Thankyou for this!
Man i was very anxious right now and literally the moment you said excitement i felt a wave of happiness i really never tought that could happen! Thanks
This helped me so unbelievably much. Every time I had a bit of nervousness I just told myself I’m so happy and excited to show the gift I’ve been given. I literally recommended this to all my friends and they said it helped calm their nerves.
Omg. I will be performing later tonight (I have performed on stage for 16 years) and all day long I have been so stressed out and nervous. I followed your advice and feel excited instead. It works. Thank you so much....

I’m in a band and so terrified to perform the first song but after that I’m good. It’s a new band but played with the Bass player in another band. It’s like I’m at a job interview every damn time!
This absolutely helped me so much thank you ! I saw this video yesterday and today I had my concert and it absolutely made me feel ready for it, thank you !
Well I will come back and let you know.. I have a showcase Saturday for my acting class. I’ve never really performed in front of a live audience and I’m terrified to be honest.
Thank you for the help bro, I’m working on a little tune with my guitar and I don’t know how to present it to people with out feeling nervous and screwing up the notes, glad I could find you❤
This is amazing!! Whenever I’m about to go on stage, I feel nervous and think about it, but once I get into the flow of things it really just turns into excitement- and I don’t want to leave the stage. 🤣 Thank you thank you for this tip!! I’ll be sure to do this in my upcoming performance. :) 💖💖🎻✨❤️

I've been scared to sing for years, and I really feel like this just helped me completely change my mind, I hope I can become as confident as you one day, new sub !! ❤❤❤
Thank you ! i have a all district audition coming and i feel sm pressure because i have doubters but ik i can do it ! Nerves just eat me alive as soon as i play solos
This video came up when I was searching for the opposite. It’s the opposite side of the same coin I believe. I’m trying to figure it out. I’ve been a professional piano player/singer for almost 30 years, and on stage feels like home. The more people in the audience, the better. I step off stage, and I am petrified to talk to people one on one. I think I’ve been doing it so long, that I’ve associated praise, applause, and all that fun stuff to my stage persona. When I’m off stage, I think I unconsciously feel “the thing that makes me special” is not there, and I have nothing to offer. That’s absolutely ridiculous, but it’s real. I have had awful anxiety and panic attacks for years, but the moment I step on stage, that all goes away.
Im a dance coach, i performed only in fromt of my student, and i have the feeling "the more people, the best". I want to show my dance gift in a theater stage. I dont know how it will be. But i hope i got too the feeling of being " Home". 🌙💓
I can't tell you how BIG this video made me smile!!!!!!! Quick and straight to the point. Damn I'm ready to perform RIGHHHHTTTT DAMMMNNN NNIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you 🙏 you helped me so much!!I have a rhythmic gymnastics show and my friends learned about it and they wanted to come to see me,i was so happy but anxious at the same time because i wanted to not to show off but give a good performance and if i messed up i would be so embarrassed.i hope i do a good job 👍🏻 you helped so much to overcome my anxiety for now i will update for the results 🤞❤
Thank you! That’s a very quick but effective shift. I’ve gone way out of my comfort zone and have been doing a 30 songs in 30 days way before I would normally feel ready to on Facebook live. And I just can’t get past feeling completely fine right up until I push the “begin live” button. 😂it’s so annoying!! I can play the songs totally fine, meaning I don’t struggle with breathing, I don’t mess up on the guitar and I don’t forget the words nor get as pitchy when I play on my own. Even right before just warming up. But the moment I hit that start button it’s crazy!! And I’m on day 20 and it still doesn’t seem to be a big noticeable improvement. I’ll give this mindset perspective or shift a try and let you know how it goes over the next 10 days. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I'm 12 and I will be playing a concert in 2 hours. I'm stressed, because it will be my first time solo, I'm playing the drums and many people think, that every drummer is so confident. That's not true! Hope I get used to it, and don't mess anything up... Wish me luck 🤞
I have my driver's license test in two days, and I was super nervous about that since like three days ago. I have been really anxious, and it even appeared in my dreams. (It doesn't help that I get anxious really easily about how ppl react to me) The moment he said that I felt my anxiety and the weird feeling in my guts disappearing. It's crazy.
Hey I have a piano audition today at school. I didn’t have much time to learn the piece I learned it in 1 week but I hope it goes well. Thank you for the tips! I’m gonna come back after my audition and tell you how it went.❤

Thank you so much!! I have to sing tomorrow for an anniversary party and I love doing it but don’t want my nerves to show through my voice. This helped me realize I really am excited !! Thank you🎉
Thank you for this. I am a new drummer for my youth band and I am playing for the first tine next week. This video got me feeling wayy more confident 🥁
Man, I was at a bar where I was going to do my second show and I was anxious anxious... searched in hope of some help and did not dissapoint... that way of seeing things just change everything...thank you very much✌️
Needed this! I am going to be performing a one woman show in a couple of days and have been feeling really anxious about it. But now I’m excited to embark on this new opportunity. Let’s go!
I got a jazz concert coming up next Saturday, I’m gonna be up front and I even take a solo. Since I have bad anxiety about this, I’m gonna try this and see how it works. I will come back with results!
Going to a big lacrosse camp tomorrow and super nervous what people think of me about how I play, I’ll try to come back after the week of camp checking in
I will try this. Ive been performing for 25 years and recently been experiencing anxiety on stage it will eventually go away but it can come back just as fast and ive never experienced this so i just want it to go away 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 thanks for this perspective ❤️💛💚
I'm a 14 years old guitarist. Yesterday was my first time playing in front of people and i have to performe after 2 days for the first time. I was excited at first but then I got nervous and terrified bc I played really bad. Now, this made my day and I'm not afraid anymore. I'm doing something new, I'm accomplishing. Thaks I owe u!
I hope this tip works! I have a talent show tomorrow and I'm literally SO nervous about it! Thanks for the tip, I hope to share it with my family and friends when they're scared for performing!

@@sessionsunderthesun3042 Hi! I’m actually not Angie, I am her daughter and not that old 😂 but I wish I could talk about it! My sister who is 9 has stage fright and just freezes on stage. I really don’t have any problem with being on stage, that was just the first time of me being on stage alone for the first time! Im glad you reached out though and I respect you looking for people to talk about their problems on stage! It will help them a lot!
This is helping me out a lot I am going on tour soon with my favorite band they asked me to come on tour mom and I would always get asked to come backstage when we would go to concerts be they knew my mom and I and how they knew me from my mom ❤
THANK YOU! I have a performance tomorrow and my friend was talking me down because she thought it was funny. This is working right now so ill update this about how it went
The more recitals I do the more nervous I get, and then in the performance I start overthinking what I’m playing and then struggle to remember so I end up playing by ear. I’ve got a competition this Sunday so will try this technique and update this comment on how I do 🤞
Please could you reply to this comment and give me advice. Me and my friends are going to do a concert in front of our year group in June (last day b4 summer holiday) I'm really exited but scared about what people will think like I'm scared if people laugh because we are singing and I'm scared if people start making fun. I tell myself I'm not scared but I actually am. I will feel so embarrassed because member of staff will be there too. Could I get some advice? Thanks.
man, u changed shit in me rn lol in 2 days I play my music show, for group like 20-30 ppl I had break like a few years.. man, I was in shock all the time or u know cancel mood damn it, let's do it for yourself/a bit fun and as u said, excited > nervous . yeah..
