The first attempt at trying something new is always the scariest. But afterwards you learn you can do it, it's just going to take patience and practice.
Love this guy’s teaching technique. No judgement genuinely wants to help people get better! ❤ Ty sir. Wish I had someone like you at my local skatepark growing up.
I love the way this man coaches. The jets need him. “What’s so intimidating about winning, just go out there and do it same way you would as if you were playing the colts every time”
gotta love aaron, he's been teaching people to skate for a while now. i remember when i was 12 starting to skate and watching braille to learn how to do some tricks. im 22 now and i couldn't be more thankful! i appreciate you aaron!
i used to watch this dude when i was in middle school. i stopped skating cuz kickflips were so hard. now i found another passion which is making beats, but after watching this short i wanna start skating again.
Nah I need to learn to kick flip now. This is insane. Braille Team, I went to a skatepark for the first time this Friday and finally landed a front and back 180 and was so happy. Even though they weren't the best and didn't have a pop, (more of a pivot), I did it. Yall have gotten me so far and I love your vids and yall keep me going. Braille Army hoorah! 🛹🤘
Ngl Aaron’s tone and how and unconcerned he sounds at the possible thought of that kid getting hurt , 100% helps that kid confidence w/i himself. Makes the kid feel like he knows he will land it not that he can or might.
Biggest advice I have when I was younger and not fragile is to lay down in front of the stairs/ledge so you see the true height you are jumping from, having an addition 6ft height to your eye level while standing over it is what will psych you out thinking you're jumping off something 12ft when it's really just 6ft.
The best way to overcome fear in skateboarding is to not let people like Aaron kyro lie not only everyone else but you also. What I mean by this is do not be afraid to be more self-sufficient because when you treat it like a hobby / career you should be in control of yourself. Obviously we can't see behind the scenes but you can tell things were going downhill even through all of the fake positivity. Energy never lies. Aaron is obviously supporting himself so we no longer need to do so, especially after seeing such a slanderous move with no little as a single. Thank you. Let alone an apology, a true apology. No matter what is going on at the end of the day, that team was completely dedicated to Aaron's ideas and movements and followed through and made a ridiculous amount of videos. Kudos to them. Pray that they succeed.
I had the same issue with doing tricks down stuff. Wouldn't put my front foot back over the board because what am I gonna land on if this board isn't where it needs to be. Just have to go fast and commit. Pain is temporary. Glory is forever.
So much is based around your mindset... Sometimes, rather mostly- you just need to mentally simplify it to think you're doing it flat... It just relaxes your body
I love watching skate videos where everyone is just as excited watching buddy land the trick. Makes me wish my area wasnt filled with only stuck up snobs so i coulda stuck with it. Maybe ill try again and just watch these videos instead of listening to those punks!
When I first attempted to Ollie to flat off a 6ft hip it was easy because the board never really left my feet/ I didn't have to worry about catching the board. When I attempted a kickflip off it I couldn't bring myself to put my feet back on the board to catch it after the flip until i did the kickflip just like I was on flat and then focused on the landing. The way Aaron said it explains it best
