The accommodation ladder is a one point access to ship’s deck for shore personal, port lashing/cargo crew and seafarers. Just like any other deck equipment, the accommodation ladder is used in port, at sea, or in anchorage for getting pilot/ crew onboard ship or vice-versa (The same purpose can be solved by the gangway of the ship as well).
The accomodation air motor is a equipment use by the crew to heave and lower the accomodation ladder. make there life easy.

Qamar actually the practice on board was replacing when already broken

@@michaelavenue8090 yes but does it increases the performance of motor i.e ,I did overhaul 2 motors both ship sides, noticed all good with intact blade conditions and after overhaul running fluently on air test, does the blades width increases performance? In my view motors rotating fine means they are good.. rest what could be problem if gangway is not heaving up ?
