It’s beautiful. I’ve been looking for a luxury hand-made carry-on and this one I’ll keep in mind. But I wish there were more options for underseat luggage.
I agree - i'd love some more options for my personal item / under seat bag. I will probably get Bennett Winch's backpack in brown leather, so expect a review on that later in the year. Thanks
I have this bag. While very nice it is not perfect. I wish Bennett Winch would combine the features of the SC Holdall and their weekender bag. There should be zippered openings at the ends for shoes or laundry.
My dream iteration would be the features of the Commuter bag under the Suit Carrier section - laptop compartment, and a bit more detailing on the bag when not used witht he suit carrier - as actually I often use the bag as a stand alone for carrying my tech and camera gear.
Couple of remarks: (1) - since the garment bag and the weekender are two completely separate items, the material is effectively doubled up, taking away quite a bit of internal volume; (2) - same goes for the handles; (3) - garment bag handling straps should reach all around, so as to distribute the load more evenly and not tug on the top part only; (4) - since it has no internal structure, the whole bag tends to bunch up - the integration of a strong flat wire along the upper edges would be recommendable.
Hi, thanks for your comments. I will pass them back to the manufacturer as I am in contact with them. On the first remark the weekender without the suit carrirer has the 32ltr internal volume, I am actually using the weekender seperarely as carry on luggage out here in Thailand. I am using it as my tech and camera bag, and it's been great. In fact I now look at it as the weekender is my main carry on, and if I need to bring a suit, attaching the suit carrier is a nice bonus.
I watched and enjoyed this video and your one year review of the away carry-on. I have the away. My question is for how many days do you think the SC Holdall is practical? I am going to Columbia for a wedding where I need to bring my tuxedo. I also go on business trips of five days or more where I may bring a sportcoat. When you also pack items for other days plus dress shoes, etc., is the SC Holdall too heavy, or too small? I also find the Away carry on very versatile especially for rolling through airports. But while you can fold a coat OK in the netted section, it’s not ideal. Appreciate your thoughts.
Hi Larry, Apologies for delayed reply - was having a short youtube break. The SC Holdall is perfect IF you are driving, or you have a wheeled checked back with you you can lean it on. I actually use the SC holdall as my main carry on for my tech gear now and lean it on my medium checked when transiting around. I find it a bit heavy when packed out to use just by itself and walking / transiting without a car. Hope thats helpful. Thanks Dan
Hi Kyle, definitely just the one. I think two would be so tight they would crease as you do need a bit of wiggle room to straighren the suit out once it's in the bag.
It had my tux in the suit carrier the day I filmed the b-roll with me walking with it... because I forgot to take it out haha. I leave it in my wardrobe hung with the tux in it for storage.
@@maheemmehedi44 thats story telling. I am trying to develope a cinematic style to my reviews and add personal anecdotes to convey my personality. But thank you for your feedback.
