I was a fairly cronic overpacker and wrote a strict list and everytime I go anywhere, I come back and adjust the list down to number of each item, different lists for different types of trip. This makes packing much quicker to do with confidence. Its hard to resist the "just in case" items even with the list - guys have this problen too. Embarking on a winter europe trip this year with just carry-on. Looking forward to easy travelling on trains - its always difficult to lug big luggage onto trains and always hard to stow big luggage on trains in europe. Very helpful! I'm off on a solo trip for 10 weeks around the UK, Ireland and Europe in late September. I'm struggling with the different temperatures and climates I'll be experiencing as well as the fact that sometimes I'll be exploring cities but also have a few hikes int here as well.
I agree with your list. Still, I've tried their hair dryers they don't work well. I wash my hair everyday and it's frustrating not having my hairdryer.
I'm a chronic over-packer, but I'm trying to get better! I've never tried the Kondo method for packing, so I will have to do that! I'm terribly guilty of those "just in case" things, but I have to say, I went from packing a large and medium suitcase, along with a backpack for a week trip in 2017, to a medium suitcase and backpack for a 2 week trip this year - I think I may end up getting to a small carry-on eventually! LOL
