@@nickheathman8326 this was 3 years ago, but if you're able to respond, how was it? What kind of cosplayers were there? What events did you go to? Sorry if it's a lot, but I'm desperately looking for a good con and it so happens I live near-ish to St. Louis than a lot of other cons that have been advertised heavily.
@@eee-xd5bo there is the comic con there in st louis but there is also planet comic con in Kansas city I honestly think planet comic con gets better guests. As for cosplayers. Literally any that you can think of was there. Planet comic con has quite a bit of more professional cosplayers also
That's a good idea. I'm not to up to speed with props and what is allowed, as I haven't done any really. But they do want to make sure you don't bring a real weapon or something that could potentially cut or hurt someone, even by accident.
It all depends on the convention, they all have different rules. I have found that metal is never allowed. Foam is always allowed and plastic it depends on if it's massive, can hurt someone etc.
I went to Wizard World Comic Con in St. Louis, MO from 2015, 2016, and 2017. I stayed at the Holiday Inn while I was attending Comic Con, and they had a restaurant and bar there, and their food is amazing.
I'll have to bring a purse/messenger bag this year though cause my cosplay has wings...so a backpack will not work lol! Thanks for the video, this is my first con, and I want to know what to bring.
Claudia R. Awesome!! I'm so excited/jealous of you. The bag really does depend on your cosplay. Sometimes I have a backpack and carry it on one shoulder or by the handle. Have fun!
First, allow me to say that you are awesome and clearly a very friendly individual. secondly, I would like to subscribe to your channel in hopes that you would soon make more videos, perhaps whatever is on your mind for that day. I think that would be pretty cool, don't you? give that some thought, and maybe make some people happy and while you're at it, and in that perhaps you could be happy too. I think that could be super cool. thanks, James
going to my very first comic con in March ireland! 😘 I'm going as Sans or as you can say....Comic Sans 😁 I would've went as papyrus or geno but .....sansy is an easy cosplay xD I don't know what to expect, will there be only comics stands or also games and fandoms? Maybe even question rooms for your theme! Such as my theme undertale! Thanks to my mam for having me get to go to comic con! It's really expensive so I really am grateful! 😘 Still not sure what to expect xD byeee
Multiple videos have mentioned getting sick at Cons...How routine is this? I'm going to my first one soon, and I do NOT want to get sick! What tips do you have for avoiding the Con plague?
Start preventative 2 weeks before any con. I do Airborne for at least 2 weeks prior; during and at least one week after. Take Emergen C everyday during and one week after. Bring hand sanitizer. I also bring multiple chargers -- they do run out of juice. it is very routine; con crud is real! Make sure you keep all of your medicines as well. I always bring a muscle relaxer when I do cons. You are on your feet a long time on hard unforgiving floors with little seating. I have back problems as well. She is right do bring portable imodium; pepto; cold medicine and ibuprofin.
Do what you love! Pick a character that also fits your actual age, or is at least not too extreme or over-sexualized. There are plenty of characters to choose from, depending on what you're into.
I going to comicon in Colorado this year and it my first con. I already have the badges since I got them in the mail, do I walk in or do they have some requirements with the badges and stuff.
Mena Me DOOO IT!!! You will not be the only one, trust me. Instant friends when you see them too. Anime cosplay is very popular. Which character will you be?
Each state has a con. And there are new, smaller ones popping up all the time. Google comic con in your area, I'm sure you'll find something. Good luck!
I know this is super late an all but do you think SDCC is too big of a con for a first? Me and my dad are thinking of going and I’m just kind of nervous because 1. I’m pretty young and I’m scared I might get judged because ? ( idk I’m a very anxious person ) and 2. I’ve never been to anything like it!! Idk thanks!
Kinda late, but don’t worry about your age. You’re never too young or too old to attend a con. I was 14 when i attended my first con as Arno from AC Unity. In 2 days, i’ll be attenting my 2nd con as Insomniac’s Spider-Man (i’m 16). Nobody will care about your age. SDCC is a big con, but the bigger the better IMO. Just have fun :)
