Ah you work at P.O.??? Yup...that's why I prefer the flate rate...I fill it till it doesn't move at all ..I always put stuff on bottom and stuff on top!!

Thanks Linda I haven't had anyone broken items arrive at their destination in quite a few years...knock on wood...As a matter of fact the garbage men actually took some packages with tons of fragile items in it by mistake (they were left for the post man) and when I saw they had taken them I ran after the truck only to be told they were probably crushed by then...Well they retrieve them brought them back the packages were indeed pretty well crushed but when I opened the boxes everything was PERFECT...so I decided to do a packing video after that incident!! :) Michelle xo

I generally do not..but when I know I am selling something that will take extra packaging I usually just add a dollar to what I would normally charge for item. I know some people actually tell buyers on Ebay that they charge a certain amount extra for packing. Thanks for asking Lizze :) Michelle

Hi Paige...yes sometimes I leave packages for pick up at my home. but they have to be flate rate shipping boxes or another form of one price boxes or envelopes. :) Michelle

Hi Patti....I tend to mix it up with the shipping. Mostly buyer pays but some people prefer a "set" price so some items I do include shipping, I mostly in that case use a flate rate box because flate rate it one price no matter how much it weighs so there is no surprise in the price that I list for, I hope this helps and good luck! Hi Rachel..so glad you found and channel and enjoying it! Since almost everything I ship is breakable. Most of my boxes I right fragile all over them. It does not cost anymore money. I print my labels at home thru Ebay and just leave them on the P.O. counter. xo Michelle

thank you from a professional...it was a video I never wanted to do, will never do again. To toot my own horn though, I think I might have mention it in the video, but I truly don't remember, a large box of fragile depression era glassware that I had carefully package accidentally got picked up and thrown in the back of a large town garbarge truck, a short while later after I ran after the truck they gave me back my totally crushed box. I opened it and nothing was broken!! I must have done something right...glad you haven't given up on my videos....much appreciated xo :)

It has....:) I have had boxes crushed by garbarge trucks returned to me unharmed, unbroken.

I have Andrea birds, and I’m pretty sure a different approach for rapping them would be needed...

Thrifting 101...Identify & Buy! Vintage Glassware oh I am sure it arrives as I stated. I just know of there was an issue and the requested to inspect the packaging it wouldn't be approved and a claim would be denied. they only inspect for high value or if repeated suspicious claims. but I am sure your stuff arrives safe. just after being in the packing and shipping biz for 20 years and attending USPS, UPS, Fedex trainings on what is acceptable and not it made me cringe. :) but you wouldn't be out much if denied as far as the cost of the item so it is different then say you paid $100s for an item. anyway thanks for sharing how you do it.

I prefer not to deal with the hassle of insurance, as I haven't had to put in claim in years and find it very tedious...I would just immediately refund the buyer instead and take a loss...but we all have our ways of packing and it works for me! You being in the packing and shipping biz for 20 years I'm sure you know how roughly they treat packages...like a football or something!
