Hello Ashley and congratulations on passing your writtens. I guess if I had to pick one thing to concentrate on, it would be to always follow the manual. Labor skills like safety wire will be perfected over time with practice. The one thing that will save your job and keep you from making mistakes is to always follow the manuals. Unless you are working on experimental aircrafts, maintenance won't be up to your interpretation. You are given manuals with parts lists and detailed instructions on how to do the job, follow the manuals. Any divination is potentially dangerous and you'll be held accountable for the consequences. This is not meant to scare you, it is to say that you'll be walking a path that has already been well traced and figured out. Stick to it. The manuals are your friends. That goes for the O&P's too. You'll probably be nervous while doing the practical tests, remember that the manuals are there to help you and to tell you step by step everything you need to do the job. When in doubt, take a minute and read the manuals and make sure you understand them correctly. I hope I've made the point enough times to show the importance of it. I hope this helps.
