If traveling to the USA keep in mind that you can get very durable old luggage (Samsonite, American Tourister, etc.) at a Goodwill store for very cheap. You may even score some used Lego at a very good price as well. Also instead of a cardboard box consider and old igloo brand cooler. They are lite and durable.

Well good thing for me whenever I decide to move, a majority of my sets are in clear storage containers and are tightly packed inside. Same with my mini figures. It really helps to put away stuff and condense them. When you have little space.

My issue is with the big modular building boxes themselves, ok i emptied the box content in my suitcase but im not able to fit the empty box (flattened) without folding it. im considering holding in a bag (empty) and putting it in the overhead luggage space. any other advice?

Hey, the Hogwarts Express is coming to around 330 gbp with the VIP weekend discounts, do you think it's worth it at this price point? Was too expensive before but now seriously considering buying it

I think it's certainly a lot more resonable, especially since theres a lot of great promos too this weekend. It still has it's flaws but it such great value at the moment with the deals

Yeah, there's no way I'm opening a LEGO box in a foreign country, let alone get rid of the box. Nope. Absolutely out of the question. I rather pay for extra luggage or just go to whatever country I'm in nearest post office and dispatch the things to my address a day or two before my return flight.

I think I will just not leave Europe. So I can use a train, won't have to think about baggage size or weight and most likely will not risk losing any set. ^^
