Because of the absolutely breathtaking nature of your painting itself, it’s easy to miss how nice a job you do with the videos. You’re a true pro on every level.
Magnificent Andrew! I really like how you show the whole process from conception to finish. Sharing your tools and tips. The atmosphere, depth, bringing it forward, brilliant. Thank you, Love it!
This is so incredible and love how you break it down. Massive paintings are reminiscent of the great masters. Thanks Andrew...keep it coming. You are such an inspiration.
It's the complimentary colour use in this that looks fantastic, I love the use of colour and skill. I feel landscapes like this, vast, epic and bold. Could be your ticket to mega fame.
Congratulations Andrew! Time well spent with a spectacular outcome! I must say I jumped several times along the way with your helpful little pal there. Goodness! As always, sharing with my artist kids and grown grandkids. The guys will get a kick out of it for sure. Again, congratulations and it's wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
Andrew, your work is absolutely superior! You outdid yourself. How are you going to top this? Incredible that you take the time to film and share. Thank you so much for your generosity. I always learn so much from you.
Wow Andrew! So good to see new video. I was lucky to see this one up close. Looks epic. As always look forward to more videos here and on creative endeavours. Thanks for sharing
Andrew inspires me to paint more often with much better technique than I ever thought possible! Also, he has taught me products really work and that is extra valuable. Thank you Andrew!!!
Omg! I'll be throwing out all my paints now and will be quivering and crying in a corner. lol This is so, so, amazing. I am going to go get the tutorial. (I did a painting that was 141 cm square and it about killed me). I needed inspiration right now during Covid and you are definitely inspirational. Can't gush enough! Worth the wait!!!
I am a musician of sorts and would never allow someone or a student to 'throw away' their instrument because someone is better than them. Take joy in watching Andrew, and find your own joy in your painting. I am sure you are kidding, but wanted to encourage further. I am far shy from being a great guitarist or singer, but the joy I get and share (the real joy) makes it so worthwhile. I am quite fond of birds and might take up painting, but I know that nothing I do can compare to Andrew. I take inspiration from his work and know what ever I do will be OK. Smile and keep painting. - Cheers
I am going to start a new landscape painting with lots of geological structure. So I'm seeing your videos to get some tips. NOW IM TOTALLY MAD🤒, There are lots of things to learn about colors and brushes and compositions. Specially the use of transparency is just 😍. Now I need to settle my mind and have to look into your technique step by step. You are "THE GREAT MASTER"🙏
Studying art at university, I've completely lost any interest in art whatsoever. Uni really is the succubus, draining my fascination for everything I cherished about art before as it is really not about what I want to do but what they want me to do. I'm supposed to find my own path but when I go on step, I'm pulled back two. At this point your videos come into play. It's incredibly wholesome seeing such a passionate workflow and it gives me quite a bit of that curiousity about art back that I've been missing for a few years now. I may not start painting again today but I am sure I will sooner than later. Thanks mate
Your experience is exactly why I decided to persue art as a hobby rather than a profession as it becomes a question of what they want. I sincerely hope you make a successful art career in the future. Best of luck!
Turned out incredible, man! You were working on it when I visited you back in December 2019 or January 2020 (ah, those were the days, before the pandemic hit us). Great job!
Hi Andrew Yes, many congratulations on your magnum opus which has quite clearly attracted several deserving accolades from your viewers. I think it's only natural to feel a tinge of sadness when parting with a painting that had become both friend and enemy over a lengthy period of time; quite heartbreaking but adequately cushioned by the financial remuneration. No doubt you'll be wanting to take a breather from works of this size for a while but having successfully tackled such a 'behemoth' my bet is that this sort of challenge won't be your last. Regards.
Omg this was the most amazing painting ! Holy smokes. They have better paid you a pretty penny for that amazing work. I can see that being a treasured masterpiece in a museum one day.
I am beginning to realise why sketch endeavor, which was to have a time slot of at least few hours everyday for 17 or some 21 yrs , is no longer on Andrew's horizon at present....hahaha...luckily though I had only watched him do some horse drawings ...but had not fallen for his words of diving straight into regular practice of sketching myself... After a while I realised that the regimen that Mr Tischler generally proposes, can only be practised by proffessional artist like him and not by a mere mortal family man like me..hahaha... Even the philosophy of " just do it " seems incompatible with my daily life, given the sheer size of work Andrew happens to be taking up for his commissioned work. I can not help express my appreciation and deep respect for Mr Andrew Tischler for sharing his amazing talent with all of us across the world.
Hey Andrew, love your work and this video was so informative and helpful. You must be a glutton for punishment tackling something so gi-normous. Thanks for being so open about your process.
It's been a few years, I still have a few older tubes of some random colours, but I love these Blue Ridge, available online, made in North Carolina, link in the description!
I have gone to Odysee. I very much like Samuel Earp's art and your art. Odysee has you both and isn't so political cancelling other sites I like. Thank you very much for sharing your videos.
Do you think you could make a tutorial using lower quality paints? I use student quality oils and no matter what I do I end up needing to add at least 3 layers of color for it to be opaque.
You said it has been in your studio for about two and a half years? Is that because oil paints take so long to cure completely? I know you said it took you six months to complete. I'm just curious as to why you have had it for so long since it's a commission piece? Did you have to let it sit that long before you could varnish it? Also... You're awesome!!!
