Awesome work. I wasn't a big fan of this model from what I saw on the GW website, but now that I see it painted up by an expert, I'm tempted to get one.
When the water dries, the pigment can still be "worked" and can be rubbed off. With the isopropanol, the pigments are "fixed" to the surface. You can varnish over them or wash over them and they won't be removed.
I plan on painting mine with khorne red, shining gold, brazen brass, Bolton silver and regal blue with tomahawk blue, I may also add necron parts to the base cuz they are sweet for death scenes
Great stuff as usual!! I have been watching most of your videos on RU-vid and have to say in all honesty that you are the best out there!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Great job as usual! I really hope that you get some non-GW commissions though. You make GW minis look amazing, so I'm curious as to what you could do with some of the better miniatures out there.
Love it! Happy anniversary on the 100th video!! If you would...what type of bits do you use to drill the holes for the magnets? Regular drill bits leave an angled bottom in the hole; I'd like to have it flat for greater contact with the magnets. Thanks for all the hard work!
That looks epic dude!! Love the video I’m working on mine right now I need some more magnets so I can’t fully get mine together yet but can I ask what size magnets did you use ? Are they 3 mm? I appreciate the time and effort you put into making these videos it’s something that makes this hobby truly special and it’s the people in this community the kindness and the way people help one another makes me proud to be apart of it! Thanks again and keep doing what you’re doing buddy cheers!!!
Very Nice work !!! the armor looks great Nurgly look which could force you to choose nurgle skin colours. But its awesome i like it as you executed the whole project. Always fun Cheers
Congratulation on your 100th video. Just a quick question! What are the sizes of the magnets you use? and can you recommend a size for regularly troops aswell?
Awesome job! I can't tell you how much I have improved since I started watching these videos, keep em' coming! I have been wondering though what size/brand of magnets do you use for magnetizing? I wanted to get some for larger monsters and infantry models too, but I haven't seen a standard size for either.
Pigments can be applied dry or diluted with water. I would recommend Vallejo air matt varnish thinned 2:1 with a thinner :) And to answer your PSI question above; Everybody has their own personal preference when it comes to air pressure, along with factors such as thickness of paint, amount of coverage etc as well as the size of your needle. Just play around with your compressor until you find a suitable PSI :)
Your nozzle may get a little clogged up when you paint and have paint dripping out the end causing the other paint that's being sent outward to hit this paint and splatter it around, it's extremely frustrating, I know. Just make sure to keep the tip/nozzle clean and apart from that just try to make sure that all the cavities/holes don't have any dried paint in them.
Amazing as always. After applying the oil wash, do you seal with satin varnish? How many time do yo need to wait until the oil is dry? Mine is taking days to dry! Why do you apply the pigments before the wash? Thank you for sharing your work!
What type of needles or nozles do you use? I'm planning to buy a new airbrush, what do you think of Harder and Steenbeck Infinity airbrush? Amazing work by the way!!
dont know if you read these anymore but just have to ask. do you applay varnish before the mixture of isopropanol and pigments? Dose the isopropaol disolve the paint? Great video!
Does the Harder & Steenbeck Evolution Silverline use one button action or a push for air and slide for paint? P.S. Good to see your finger didn't get "Ganegreen" lol.
H&S has no 0,3 needle. As far as I know, I think that you can have .15, .2, .4 and .6 if I am not wrong. After watching the video buypanted posted in his channel I bought the infinity, but as he says in his video, it seems that infinity has the same possibilities than Evolution Silverline. I don't know which needle buypainted use, I don't know if he change it in a job or if he use always the same.
awesome job lkike always very nurgle. im picked the model this weekend and i gonna paint them in iron warriors colors any tips in what paints i can use for it. ? thanks in advanced
I think you talked about applying vanish to 'save' what lies underneath (sorry if this was misunderstanding) if it's true, is it possible to remove just the layers that are above the vanish if I make mistakes?
i am very interested in starting using an airbrush to paint my models, what type of an investment is it? what would you recommend for someone starting out? what do i need to do this type of work? thank you Alastair
oh, I understand that. I have to deal with it myself, but not nearly as often as I noticed in this video. just wondering if that's an artifact of a particular paint being used or something else.
I tried to magnetize it but the arms were too heavy and rotated down. Then, I guess because my greenstuff did not hold together tightly the magnets in the arms came off along with the superglue. Now I can only field him with Hadescannons and swap the head.
You probably dont give a shit but if you are bored like me atm then you can watch all of the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend for the last weeks :)
I find that when I airbrush that my paint tends to splatter/sprits a little too much when I paint. even VMA. which makes it hard to be precise when painting like you did with the armour and flesh. any advice? please and thank you
