I am wondering of what I have is best to use. I have Mungvo but they are oil pastels, I also have chalk like pastels, Nupastel , but not as a pencil. I have Derwent Colour Soft. 2 stablocarbothello pink and yellow ochre. Many of my coloured pencils are polychromos, albrecht durer by Faber Castell and Derwent Inktense and Berol Prismacolour. I only have 2 pitt pencils which are brown and terracotta plus conte. also is Strathmore 400 series paper good? thank you
@@deborahdarcy6268 Why don't you use the CarbOthello pink and ochre for the rose, and the Pitt pencils for dark values? Using the correct medium is more important than having a large palette.
Really like this tutorial, shows how varying mediums can make good results. Also showed me how to use my Pitt pencils. Also not to be anxious about pastel mediums. Thanks. Later same day. Have just finished my copy of the Pitt pastel rose. Enjoyable. Thanks.
Thank you ever so much for your free lessons ,...I learn a lot . I did find a red Pastel in a box with Pastel Pencils from Derwent a happened to have at home.
Simply great n brilliant methods of painting you are teaching...since they are the most easiest and can be learnt instantly even by the newbies!!!!SALUTES!carry on adding uploading new videos of some such methods...looking forward for more such basic and easiest knowledge!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👏
Your choice of base color for the 2nd rose shocks me. I never learn this! However, thanks for sharing and instructing. Look forward to your future videos!
Great job. I have mungyo pastels as well as the carbothellos which are similar to the Faber Castell that you own but theses have a variety of assorted colors including red, pink etc.
This is really helpful, thank you for sharing. One point, though - having paid a fair amount for my Canson paper, I'm going to use the honeycomb side and use ordinary watercolour or drawing paper if I want a smooth surface. Although using both sides of the Canson would make it better value 😁
Why did you use purple and yellow to base the color of the red rose? And you drew red on the shadow. I cannot see the red in the shadow. Can you talk more about these? Thank you.
Faber Castelll Pitt and Stabilo Carbothello pastel pencils are the easiest pastel pencils to sharpen with a pencil sharpener. I refuse to sharpen anything with a knife.
