Without any doubt, yours are among the best tiger paintings out there. I'm a zoologist and, after filmmaking for 45 years, I decided on a change and recently took up painting. Not so different from photography, right? Wrong!! But one result of working with tigers for some time is that at least I know how they are supposed to look; however, achieving a realistic end-result with a paintbrush is taking a lot of practice and patience ... but, with thanks to artwork like yours, I'm slowly getting there. I think it's great how you are sharing the creation of your work. People could pick up/ be reminded of tips and 'tricks' to bring sizzle to their work.

Your technique is so simplistic and you use it in all of your paintings, which makes someone like myself who is struggling to move passed being a perfectionist the hope of making painting easier. You walk us through each step with the brushes and colors you use along with how you match the photo with each brush stroke. But no matter how many times I watch your videos, I am still amazed by each of your paintings. So brilliant! Thank you for teaching how to paint in acrylic in a straight forward, reliable way. It takes the pressure off of me so I can perform well!

I'm working on a baby panda, and this vid helped me figure out the layering and I wanted to make sure I'm laying the hairs with the right brush... Now... Doing baby fluffy fur... Won't be quite and worrisome as I thought it would be :)

If I'm using poster colour to paint the tiger, do i need to start with black or the bright color?

After adding black stripes did u add burnt sienna or burnt umber as a glaze ?? I started a sketch and trying to follow ur method. Ur work is hyper realistic sir

I love your paintings. I use a heavy body acrylic paint. Do you use heavy body like Golden? I cant get the details that you get. It may be because I have cheap detail brushes. Do you have a brand you recommend?

What brushes are being used?

Amazing work! Congrats! I try to paint tiger but the paint dont cover.. When i use dark brown like burnt umber and let it dry.. Then try to use sienna with yellow its ok, but after 2 min is gone :( Try with water, without water, always same result. I use Liquitex basics.. Sorry for my english and please help to solve that problem.
