I've recently taken up painting during my work from home order. I especially like the tutorials in which the artists talk you through the painting steps. There's something about getting a real person talking to you and reassuring you on your colors or strokes or fixing mistakes, giving you tips. There are so many tutorials that blast through the painting with only music. I agree with the other comments about the music. It makes me feel like I have to rush through the painting. I would love to try this because it's beautiful, but I know I would have a big pink blob by the end of it.
I’ve just started too but funnily I prefer the opposite. I like to watch tutorials without a voice, just background music. I am going to follow this tutorial for my first attempt at a tree as I love cherry blossom.
I have to agree with Zoi that just watching someone paint really doesn't do a lot for a beginner trying to learn! Some type of explanation about strokes and layering colors would be very useful!

I thought this would be one of those “Watch me do it and figure it out yourselves while my hand covers everything!” tutorials, but it’s really clear and easy to follow, even though there are no vocal instructions. I think mine turned out well, although how could anyone’s be as good as yours?
Luv the tree, but word of advice, it's not fun listening to this music, would rather hear you explaining how you r painting the tree and materials your using 😊if your trying to teach which it states "how to" its best to talk and explain what your doing.
