This is the third “P” in the Four P Repair and Restoration System
After 4 months it’s finally time to throw some paint onto the Diamond T… with that said Michael will be reviewing all of the steps for painting this classic truck. He has been restoring and painting vehicles for almost 20 years and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to painting and restoring cars.
There are several tips that Michael shares in this video:
1. How to remove dirt nibs from paint.
3. Wet sanding to remove runs, dips, sags and orange peel.
3. Using a tinted primer in order to decrease amount of paint that will need to be applied for proper coverage.
It is really amazing that as pretty as a fresh paint job is, that you need to wet sand it again in order to get it to a showroom finish.
