How to paint an Ultramarines Leviathan Dreadnought

In this tutorial I'll be painting up a resin Leviathan Dreadnought for the Ultramarines Legion. While I love the new plastic kit, the resin one was a little frustrating, no surfaces were smooth and there's a few patches of rough moulding. The mini is still a beast though, and it looks ace finished. I sprayed it with Citadel Macragge Blue before the video started.

I've noticed you use so many colors. Have you collected every one Citadel put out? I only have about a dozen myself and I feel really unprepared.

Hey Matthew, thanks for watching! :) I’ve picked more paints up as time’s gone by but still don’t have them all, but not having so many paints isn’t an issue. For example, lenses, Use red, then increasing amounts of white for the highlights, for the blue armour - blue, then increasing amounts of white, etc. I’ve always worked like that (a lot of the earlier vids I didn’t have as many paints so it’s mixing white with the initial colour a lot), and I grew up with a really limited selection. Don’t be put off by too many paints, it’s usually just for ease during the vids - most colours can be made from mixing others. :)
