Do you like adding backgrounds to your work, or do you prefer to have the white of the paper around your subject? *Leave me a comment,* I would love to know. If you would like to learn more about applying backgrounds, head to this video next: bit.ly/3WpOf7X
Hi, I will try to do this on a bird I just painted, is there a way to cover the bird without damaging the painting? I will do the background first in the future :(
You can use a sheet of card cut out the same size as the subject, which can help. But trying to add a background on after painting say a bird can be tricky without damaging the details around the edges.
Hi Nicki, the one I currently use is latex free, and is called Pebeo Drawing Gum. I have it listed within my materials list is it helps, Paul 🎨 devonartist.co.uk/materials-i-use-or-recommend-for-realistic-watercolour/
helloo this is really helpful and all but do you think this can be applied with blurry foreground? im just starting out with watercolor from digital paintings ☺️
Hi Tijuana, unfortunately I've never painted digitally so I can't really answer that question for you. Maybe someone who is reading this can answer this for you. Paul
@@TheDevonArtist oh sorry wait, i actually just mean like I'm trying to do watercolor physically so maybe you can give tips on blurry foreground for beginners? (sorry if my english is confusing)
@@tijuanabanana2808 I see what you mean, I tend to say everything within my videos here, but I do have a playlist on painting backgrounds which may help you. ru-vid.com/group/PLKn1cBFaLRAA9LiWelDMOPuO0CFe5NgOr
