Scott, I’m a 12 year old artist. You have really inspired me to paint more. I’m not sure how to share my paintings with your since I can’t have social media but sometimes on my channel I post some paintings! So maybe you could check it out 🤷🏼♀️ I know it’s a long shot but your such an inspiration to me! ❤️
Hi Scott, I just wanted to say thank you for your great tips and tricks and your support. Thanks to you I have improved my drawing style by worlds and I am always motivated to fill my sketchbook. Thank you, you are the best!
I appreciate your content, you are one of my favorite creators. I am no artist by any means, I still enjoy learning about colours, the difference between paint types and papers, watching you sketch and water colour. The list does go on. How you see and interpret the world we live in is inspiring. Thank you.
I love this video for one primary reason. It emphasizes and elaborates on the fact that Art requires creativity. Not just for deciding what to make or learning how to make it, but also finding inspiration in simple things or creative new ways to get a desired finish. And anyone is capable of creativity, if only they look in the right direction. I'll be trying out this paper towel method in the future, even though I mostly build models. It should be fun to try my hand at watercolor landscapes, since nature already inspires most of my builds.
Hey Scott!! Im a new fan of your channel. I am currently 15 years old who lives in The Philippines. When I was much younger, i thought art was just a drag, it’s all just a bunch of color that looks appealing to the audience. But since covid struck, my view on art change dramatically, and I hoped to improve more on it one day. Your videos always lights up my mood and gives me motivation to do art. I want to make a travel journal like yours one day to look back on old memories. You art is truly amazing and it changed my life in some way. I’m starting to like gouache and watercolor paintings and planning to make more art out of them. Your drawing process gives me hope for myself that I am just a young artist growing and learning, just like you! I don’t hope to be you someday, but I want to become my better, unique self! You don’t know how much your art means a lot to me, it keeps encouraging me to be my unique self and not be afraid to show my true colors. Keep doing what you love doing, Scott! There can be negatives in life, but always remember that there are people out there who care for you whenever you’re feeling down. Thank you for your amazing artworks, thank you for existing and thank you for being yourself. Lots of love, Xel
I've really loved watching your content its very inspiring to learn from the older generation (I'm 17/almost 18.) It's interesting how we all do art so differently with the same materials- that's what I think is beautiful abt art :)
Recently I’ve taken up watercolor and have had a bit of struggles. Ever since I found your channel it’s been easier to understand tricks and tips when making all types of art. Thank you 🙏 😊♥️:)
First off Scott your the reason why I got back into painting with watercolor, second is you would make an amazing art teacher. Like if you held a class online or in person I’d be happy to join it since you have all these different tricks to master some things that younger artists make more difficult than it needs to be.
I’ve always loved clouds but only rarely painted them. But I feel like this video was a sign since the only paint I have is water color. This made the process much simpler. Thank you, I must try it 🙏🙏🙏
Hi Scott I've been doing digital art for a few years now but since watching your videos I bought a set of watercolour pencils brushes and a sketchbook and it's jumpstarted my passion for art again thank you
I recently got into painting after getting some acrylics and some canvases for Christmas a few years ago. I am now getting into watercolor too! I love your channel, and now that I am trying out watercolor, these videos are ten times better. Thanks for this tutorial, I hope I enjoy watercolor and get better at it :)
I tried watercolor paints for the first time this past week because of you’re videos and I’m surprised that I really enjoyed them. Thank you so much for being an incredibly inspirational artist.
Dude honestly explains it so nicely and really simple trick I don’t know how I have never thought of this also I have that same car thingy that it showed at the end
I love watching your videos, they always make me smile. thank you for making wholesome and educational content that’s interesting and can be viewed by everyone. love you and your content 🫶
Thank you for sharing your work. I've always only sketched but watching you actually gave me the confidence to paint. I just bought my first acrylic paintset today. So thank you so so much❤
Just ordered my first official set of watercolors. Thank you for the inspiration. As someone who started painting with oils then moving to acrylics I feel like I'm just missing watercolor at this stage in my life. Again thank you! 😊 🙏🏼
Im just starting my watercolor journey and I'm so glad I found your channel. These are the weird little tricks I'm always looking for when working with a new medium. Sometimes the easiest hacks look the most amazing!
I know you probably wont see this, but I want you to know that you are a huge inspiration to me as a teenage artist. You're channel has helped me grow as an artist so much. Thank you Scott
This is exactly what I needed, I was scared of adding clouds to My paintings Or so long because I was afraid to ruin my drawings (wich I did sometimes) and I didn't know how to do them.
This is the best tutorial to make clouds that I have ever seen 😭 Thank you so much ! I tried many different ways to do it, and your tips is working so well ! Also I love your channel
Your videos have gotten me to start using my watercolor again. I started going through the middle phase with it, where I saw all the things I needed to improve on, got overwhelmed and gave up. After coming across your shorts on RU-vid , and the kind and calming chats you give while you paint mesmerizing art, it’s given me the inspiration to try painting again. And I really couldn’t be happier with that choice. I even bought myself a watercolor sketchbook! Thanks for reigniting that artistic flame of mine.
I used to do a lot of drawing too, but I took a very long break, but after so many of your motivational videos I still want to draw. (I did not like watercolors, but now I want to paint them) thank you very much ❤️❤️😀(Sorry if my English is bad and you do not understand something)
That's actually.... smart. I use water colors and honestly i use my finger to tap random shapes by the white color (sometimes i use orange or red depends on the sky color) and also shade it with my fingers, then i drop little water drop on it to give it that water color Depth kinda thing and erase my finger prints.
This is my favourite and quick technique! I always have my paper towels around since i use it for anxiety relief and love how its different all the time too!
When i do art projects in school, i use a few cotton buds, bunch it up together, and just dab the paint on the art project.🙌🏼🙌🏼 it works nicely for me!
Ooo you just gave me an idea for acrylics too! I fucking your videos man. You really help me organize my thoughts when it comes to my approach to art. & You help me really enjoy the process Still can't get over how cool your mom's sketches were! I makes me so happy to see the memories flooding back for her! Thanks for the good vibes bro bro
I'm not much of an artist, but if I remember correctly, a trick my teacher taught me from school is to use something wax based, like a white crayon. The wax repels the water and leaves splotches of white. Afterwards, you dab it with a paper towel. It's one way to put that white crayon to use lol. Love your work, hope you enjoy!
I've always wondered how to do them better than how I do it cause it looks so bad..This is such a life saver.. I also use watercolor and I just started glad I found this channel after I bought a set..
Hey! I just thought of a pretty cool idea, in ur hair journal, you should do another position like the trans pride one, but the person has a dexcom (blood glucose monitor) on, im a type one diabetic and i think it would be pretty cool. Obviously ull have to do some research into the glucose monitors, but i think itll be worth it! I hope you have a nice day!!
Sometimes same tbh. Other times I like to do the opposite with letting the base dry and going back in with a paper towel and some white. With acrylics it's super easy to just paint the underline and half blend it up and to the sides, quick airy strokes give it a nice whimsical look.
