I like the idea of an Imperial Fist wearing a complex ancient pattern of camo from the early days of terra, while also in the brightest power armor imaginable
Cheers RobotechJunkie, much appreciated. I'm thinking of of doing different kinds of camouflage as it's handy to know, and also they're quite fun to paint. :)
This is an incredible tutorial, thank you! When I first saw the eliminators this is exactly the scheme I pictured them with in my head and have just finished my first Eliminator with this effect.
@@BrushandBoltgun he was originally a RM Commando but being an Ex Paratrooper myself I fixed up the beret by using my dremel to grind the beret badge off and replace it with a Para one 😂
Cheers Steve, very much appreciated! :) I've started to play around with a few more camo patterns too, but the CS95 will always be my favourite I think! :)
Cheers Alessio, very much appreciated! It’s a pattern of dpm that I love. :) check out the camo playlist, there’s three so far, but intend to paint up more over time :)
Cheers James, very much appreciated! :) It's my favourite pattern camouflage, loved the old smocks, so many pockets for everything. Ideal for snack storage too! :)
Nice one, exactly the model I had in front of me when searching! Was terrified of putting the initial Zandri Dust pattern on the dark green, one wrong move and it could be time to get the Dettol out.
@@BrushandBoltgun It was the Eliminators and Primaris Librarian I was doing, wasn't sure what type of camo to go for but this looked so good and the guide was clear enough that I felt like I could do do it without risking another pricey miniature being more fit for the bin than the battlefield haha Came out much better than I expected too, if I hadn't followed your video they'd probably be wearing very un-stealthy shiny cloaks where I'd had to hide my dodgy painting with gallons of Ardcoat :-)
Ah, sweet! That's good to know, I'm glad it worked. I think the SC95 is a great pattern of camo, I had to try it! Not started the Librarian yet, but he'll be getting the same :)
I highly recommend to everyone read the «Black Dawn» short story (author C.L. Werner. From books «Victories of the Space Marines»/« There Is Only War»). About cool actions of the Emperor's Warbringers chapter. Extremely professional and adequate FULLY CAMOUFLAGED Space Marines. I definitely have to create my own homemade Space Marines Chapter very similar to them!
Nice Camouflage! Really nice paint job.Luckily this cloak is covering the most ugliest shoulder pad in space marine history. It could still count as an imperial fist.
@@BrushandBoltgun May i come with a suggestion. When doing a tutorial do a short version like this one and one extended version where you show the WHOLE process.
so many varieties to try... Tigerstripe, DBDU, Digital. tbh probs will end up with a mix of DBDU and Tigerstripes, digital would be better for a vehicle, at this size, no!
Haha! Oh man, digital camo would kill me! I'm wanting to do more camouflage vids, as you say, there's so many different kinds and they are good fun to paint. I reckon there'll be more in the near future! :)
If I'm honest, I never really saw the point in the camouflage on brightly coloured marines anyway! haha :) I hadn't tried painting CS95 before and thought I'd give it a go. I'd like to try some other types too, but still figuring out which. Some sort of digital camo would be interesting, but I think it'd send me over the edge! :)
