What a great video. I live quite near Bosham & go there a lot for a walk. I must have tried painting that boat shed about 5 times, just couldn't get it to work. It's so dark. It was good to see how you tackled it & will go back soon & try again! Thanks for the video. I follow you on Instagram & love your style.
Love your paintings Clare. I wish I could paint more loosely. I think I need to leave my size 0 brushes at home when I go out to paint! Thank you both 😍
😊Hello again, Mr & Mrs B. What a delight to see you out and about in the sunshine again making videos and sharing the plien air experience together in that lovely little place in Bosham. are you on holiday there? I am enjoying your rendition of this beautiful little yachting scene complete with boathouse. Im very impressed with your water interpretation, which shows off a lovely bluish hue. The whole scene tells a really interesting story that reflects how busy the day was around the both of you. As always Clare & Mr B, a brilliant commentary throughout and a grand finale. PS, i too have painted a late summer scene of Bosham Harbour about two years ago albeit I worked from several different pictures that I took from my visit there. If Id known you were there I would have loved to join you both in sharing the plein air scene together. Well, it has been a pleasure to watch, and I look forward to seeing more from you both soon. Take care now. 👍🖐️
Thank you for sharing this lovely painting episode. You and Mr B are silly fun! I half expected you to paint in the father-son duo photo-bombing all the while. :)
This is a lovely painting Clare. Boats and buildings are my nemesis. You make it look effortless. I really do value your time and effort with these videos. Thank you.
I love your vibrant paintings and your excellent videos. They honestly show the challenges and joy of plein air painting . You inspire me to keep painting. Thank you Eugenia
Hello Clare, what a pretty little painting! Your seascapes are always very beautiful and this one is no exception. Eventually you gave up on the clouds, but it's true that the sky got milkier over time. Bravo Clare and thank you to Mr. B for his support and his video. Have a good week👏👏🙂
Hi Clare, I really like your you Tube painting demos.I can see you haven’t done any more for a while, I wondered have you stopped? I was interested in seeing if you are repeating your workshops this year too. All the best many thanks for your sharing your skills.
Hi Howard! Glad you like the demos; we are hoping to do at least a new one in the summer and plan to do a live demo in the autumn but no workshops planned for this year. 👩🏻🎨❤️
Hi Jeff! Yes, we are both well thank you for asking! Do you follow me on Instagram? I have been posting short videos/reels on this forum under clarebowenartist. 👩🏻🎨❤️
Dear, I really like your works...its inspiring....please take more time to observe the visual...gradually painterly should happen on your surface.....keep going...Love..
Hi Clare. Happy to see you back. I learn a lot from your videos. I recently switched from acrylics to oils and I really struggle with the cleanup of brushes, palette etc. Would love to see a video of you after you complete a painting and the steps you follow with cleanup. Signed, Sloppy Painter. 😳
Hi Clare, Thank you so much for this video. I live in Poole and would love boats to feature more in my work, but I need to loosen up, so I'm inspired by your brushwork.
I have a couple of questions, please! What is it that you have your paints on all in a row at the top of your pallet? What clip do you use for your solvent jar? I need one of those for sure. Lastly, what pallet box setup do you use, and where can i purchase it? I absolutely love your channel, and I'm making my way through all of your videos. Thank you for all you do to help us new artists. Have a wonderful week.
Hi Paul! Apologies for the delay in replying! The paint holder is called a Palette Garage from an American company called Great Art Tools. Unless you know someone in America or Europe who can order one for you, the company does not ship to the UK! The clip again is a problem as the company that made them, Open Box M, is no longer in business, so is unavailable. I am so sorry I cannot be of more help! 👩🏻🎨❤️
My easel is a Daytripper from the US. My colours are: Titanium, cad lemon yellow, cad yellow, raw Sienna , scarlet lake, permanent rose, Viridian, cerulean, cobalt, ultramarine & cobalt violet . I hope this is helpful! 🎨
Thank you for your videos. Wonderful painting! Have you considered adding the mixing view next to the painting view? It would be so helpful to see you mixing at the same time as the painting.
Love your paintings and video's Clare! Thank you for sharing a lot of your proces! I am learning a lot! I started with water mixable oils this past summer! I would love to know the name of the hook you use for your terpentine holder! Thank you!😊
Great, thank you, I should have scrolled through the comments to see. Strange that nobody in Europe makes something like this. Are you using the 18" sticking-uppy-bit with 12" horizontal bars ? And if so are you happy with the size?
I love your your work and these videos. Thank you for them. Which easel are you using in this video? I’ve seen your video on your Open M Box. I cannot find any info on those. Where to find them and the cost.
Love this one. Buildings like this can be a challenge sometimes! Can you please tell about your paint carrier? Is it something you made yourself or can it be purchased? Thanks!
Your paint holder is different. It looks like just a length of angle material with the paint all smooshed in together. Don't the colours get all muddled together?
Good morning Clare! I like your painting very much. I live near the sea. We have beautiful beaches, sailboats, fishing boats, etc., but these topics have always seemed boring to me:)) I forgot about the seagulls, hi, hi. Since I found your videos, I've been changing my mind. :)) Everything you look at and place on the canvas becomes an extremely inspiring topic. I admire your talent and thank you for the inspiration and wonderful stories about painting. I also greet your wonderful assistant! Greetings from Poland :))
I will , for sure, check those videos, i miss also, a proper demonstration of your talent, maybe you can return to 1 a month or so..wish you and your wonderfull husband all the best
