When it comes to painted furniture, one of our most popular looks is the distressed or weathered look. We also like to call it the Restoration Hardware look because of its popularity on the furniture retailer’s website. There are numerous variations of what is essentially the same concept, reclaimed driftwood, just in different hues of grey and brown.
The finish looks extremely complicated to recreate, but it’s actually quite a simple process. There are a few more steps involved, but these steps are very forgiving and easy to master for the beginner furniture artist.
In this video, I show you how to use antique wax and lime wash glaze to create a very unique finish. I'll cover the tools, products and techniques that will give you a professional and flawless finish.
