Thanks Tammy, your words and art are refreshing my life. Last year was devastating to me and now I'm suffering from insomnia and anxiety and honestly while watching your videos and doing watercolor, i feel better Thanks again
I am sorry to hear about your struggles and I do hope that you feel better soon. But thank you for your kind words; they really mean so much to me. Thank you for being here :)
I have never been able to paint flowers, but this morning I stumbled across your channel and I’ve done the anemones and the gladioli…. Both really successful, I’m so pleased… thank you so much!
Tammy, I've been trying for over a year. I want NOTHING to do with realism (I was a photographer for 55 years) but I would like to be able to compose a loose floral composition either from reproducing what I see or from what is inside my head. Very frustrating. But thank you so much for your instruction. I learn something new from each one. - VERY intimidated by the flat brush. LOL
Thank you for your honesty! For me, anytime I feel intimidated by any brush, I recommend sitting down with a blank piece of paper that you don’t really care too much about and just start practicing brushstrokes. Use light pressure, medium pressure, heavy pressure. Start making dotted lines and squiggly lines and zigzags. And once you’ve done all the shapes you can start making some petals or some trees. And just see what the brush can do! Make sure to use all the colors on your palette for extra practice. It does come with time!
@@Tammykaye Yes. I AM following that. I am "storing up" the tutorials and hopefully will be able to overcome my fears and actually sit down to try one. Yes, the first lesson, carnations, was with the dreaded "flat" brush.
@@Tammykaye I DO follow Crystal as well. Thank you. I believe she is having a Zoom course coming up soon. I think I need in-person help. I'm checking into appropriate classes in my area. Probably nothing until AFTER Labor Day.
