A better way to do it is to apply a full coat of the base colour, wait for it to tack up but not dry to touch, then crinkle up some saran wrap and apply. Give it a few more minutes, peel it out and spray in your marble. It's a much more natural marble look. This way you don't have to punch your thin fragile body.
An even better way is to use a used dryer sheet. Lay it on your surface spray your black through it. This way you get the actual lines and dense points like marble. Once done with the black use your under coat.
yeah it's a good look. haha that sounds like a good paintjob for Christmas, attach a sleigh to the back of that rc car and that's a Christmas showroom car! lol
I would think it would be ok but I don't really know. if you get bright green it might work but you can always try it on a plastic water bottle first so you can tell if its all good
I'm not sure, usually you'd use the darker color as the marble but you can always test it on a piece of plastic close to your body, like a water bottle or just a clear price of plastic and test it out👍
I actually used the tamiya ps-3 paint. I looked up the ts 23 and they look very close if not identical, but I used the ps 3 to paint this one if you want the exact color👍
Yeah, but check out the spray paint hydro dip vids, gets some cool effects. Just need oil based paint that floats on the water. Not sure if the poly carb paint will work. Ill do the experiment and see if it works, just thought id ask here first because you have to use a fair bit of paint and im a tightwad and want to use what ive already got without buying more lol. Cool vid though, i might just try your marble effect instead.
Sorry but I do not believe you painted that body. I think someone told you how to do it. Not only does your example look NOTHING like the body, someone who painted a body like that, would NOT just "blob" on the marbling like you just did.
