When you’re doing automotive painting you should’ve used a primer that’s meant for plastic a white paint no gloss the clearcoat gives it the gloss and it’s not good to mix house paint with automotive clearcoat
This part looks like the toolbox cover in ross white color, these are available new from my local honda parts dealer for $10 usd here in Australia 🇦🇺 probably less in the states.
Hey, I want to custom paint my dirt bike. But I wanted to make actual designs. If I follow this and add my designs before I put the last coat on, will it work? And also what paints should I use to make designs on my bike?
Yes, as long as you prepare the surface well with the scoring / sanding and primer, you can use virtually any type of paint (although I would recommend plastic or automotive paints). Then go over it with the protective clear coat that I specify in the video or a similar product. Make sure to do lots of clear coats letting them dry in between. I didn’t concern myself with a lot of coatings because mine was just white but you’ll want to protect your designs well! Good luck!
You want to do it until you have removed as much of the protective coating as possible. For white plastics it’s pretty hard to see this layer coming off because it does so in a white powder. But with colored plastics you should be able to see it.
