The Epic Narrator takes the 80's challenge and paints an old Rogue Trader RTB01 Space Marine in 80s style. This is done following the old painting guide as closely as possible and using era appropriate paints (wayyyyyy before contrast paints).

Looks great! I've considered painting some myself but don't really have the motivation ( Plus they're friggin expensive, especially here in Brazil )

@@GarfsWorkshop Well the only place I've seen it is online. A whole set of primaris marines was 250 BRL which is about 38 pounds but that's a whole lotta money here. So yeah, kinda bad XD

Do you happen to know where I can find the terracotta paint? I've been after it for ages but can't seem to find it anywhere.

I use coat d'arms mate their "rust" colour is similar I think but you could prob actually find the old terracotta paint on their website.

AWESOME. I’ve been hooked on GW/40k ‘junk’ since 1991! The article/story from the ‘93 white dwarf was what turned me on to HH! So great to hear it again. Great job.

Looks good to me. I am starting a rogue trader/2nd edition painting challenge in 2 months time to try and get motivated to paint a 2nd edition army for the first time. Let me know if you are interested and I will get all of the details to you.

Yes bruva, I would be interested. You would need to let me know well in advance though. Currently I am in the UK but stuck here for now because of the virus. The country where I normally live getting together a Roguew Trader/Second edition army will need to be shipped in !

The coat ‘d arms paint pots are great. I still have a few colours from when GW used those paints. That terra cotta never gave me the finish I was hoping for... but I was 13 & didn’t paint so great!😆

Coat d'arms for me are cheap and they do the job, especially in current times they are the only ones available to me...I will not be able to get back to my usual set up until a certain country opens it's borders back up.
