Your tutorials are amazing, I have improved a lot! I’m by far not a good painter, but my models look way better then before, which gave me a huge motivation boost to paint more often.

Awesome! Thanks for this. I wasn't sure if I would need to prime and paint the separate parts first since the tabard wrapped about his leg. You showed that the leg conceals it anyway so assembling, priming and painting is a go. This model is really fantastic and you did a stellar job bringing him to life.

I did a kit bash Emperor's champ many years ago "when" games workshop would let ya order all the individual parts, I gave him as a parting gift to one of the younger lads that would visit the Salisbury GW store when I left the British army in 2006. He was proper chuffed with it.

Ive been into warhammer since 2005 but never could get minis cause they were out of my budget as a kid. I got my first minis ordered today, my question is, do i need a base coat? Does it have to be black or would a clear primer work?

Just a quick one, the decals on the tilt shield, should they come with the model? I've seen that design on each model but I don't seem to have that transfer anywhere? Many thanks

Afraid not - i think I ended up using a red templar cross and then the laurel is from the indomitus transfer sheet I think

Another new video in 4K! Question: Both Black Legion and Black Templars have black armours. Do you use different edge-highlighting colours on them? Which colours do you choose?

You can use what I have here, or greys - I believe I used similar to this in my Black Legion video - but started with Incubi Darkness instead of Dark Reaper

Stormvermin fur is a good browny/grey that is a nice warm highlight instead of a cold highlight 👍🏼

I used decals from the Black Templar set 👍🏻 I don't think the individual model comes with them

Hey in the bladeguard veterans box does itinclude the parts to build that minature with quite a dynamic pose and a BIG skeleton in his shield? Or is that a minature included in a pack with just one ?

Do you mean the Indomitus Captain? I think he is only available in one of the 40k starter sets

Yes very true - i think he may also be released as part of the imperium magazine series (not 100%) so might be worth keeping an eye on that

I won't have time unfortunately, but this weeks video is a redemptor dreadnought - you can use the same techniques from this and use the space wolf tutorials to get the colours you need 👍🏻

hello again. So my order came in of Citadel paints and i noticed they changed the labeling appearance slightly. These jars say 2020, will the ones i previously purchased which say 2018 be the same formula? Also when i don't touch the Citadel paints for some time, a white milky substance forms on top some of the paints, but once i shake them up they go back to normal, what is this? Thank you again for the help and advice.

Yes they should be the same formula - that milky substance is the binder so a thoroughly good shake should see you right 👍🏻

@@ThePaintingCoach i tried the original ones and wasn't too happy they had poor coverage and left huge brush marks. I never got them off the test piece because they were terrible. I was curious if the Artist 20ml tube line was any different. that's all

I think they are more pigment dense - heavy body - so work better

My only issue is that lore wise black sword does not reflect light, so i am not sure about those highlights

Just that - keep them separate so you can prime them a different colour - easier in the long run

Most of these are standard paints that would form the basis of a collection - especially if you paint an army of these guys - there is always the option to mix your own using a set of basic paints :)
