Pulling the glaze from where you want to start to where you want to end is such a simple statement, but maaaaaaaaaaaaaan, I was absolutely doing that wrong. Thanks for the tutorial!

Thank you so much for sharing. Seeing this in action really makes it more accessible. Will be trying as a follow-along later.

Amazing work Kevin, a really well put together guide! Also that canopy looks ace, those colours give me a real synthwave vibe and I am just digging it. In a similar vein of painting cockpits I'd love it if there was a CSO video or article which went into a bit more of the colour theory on picking what colours to choose for a two-tone mech cockpit depending on the main body scheme.

Excellent guide, Kevin! Thanks for sharing. Quick question, how did you achieve that grey for the body?
@kevinwitt9098

Lots of overlapping colors. It actually started as a mix of magenta and tan and then I glazed a light blue grey on as a filter…maybe I’ll have to make that a video too

Looks amazing K-Dub. You make it look so easy, but when I try, it looks like someone is using a mop to dab it on. :)

Great video! You mention that ice yellow is your SECOND favorite color but did you say what your favorite was? Is that in another video I missed?

I believe he's referring to magenta as his first favorite. He uses it a lot.

What's the thing that you use to hold the miniature while painting? (In terms of brand and such) PS Thanks for sharing. The guide's amazing!

It's a good paint job but ground combat vehicles don't have large transparent canopies for a reason

Looks great. Where did you get that mech, by the way?

Thanks, it's a pre release prototype from Catalyst to paint and promote the new models coming out in the next kickstarter in 2023.

Hey when looking for an Ice Yellow from Scale 75 I couldn't seem to find it listed anywhere. Is this perhaps Ice Yellow by Vallejo? Also do you have a recommended close color to Pro Acryl magenta in any of scale 75, army painter or vallejo lines? My LGS doesn't carry pro acryl.

I think Kevin meant Vallejo Ice yellow as that's the only ice yellow I know of.

@@CamoSpecsOnline Thanks for getting back to me on this! Hope to apply what I learned in this video to my own models soon.

Reads "Two-Tone Cockpit" looks at colors used...."Yah thats more then two colors" ^_^
@CamoSpecsOnline
@CamoSpecsOnline 2 года назад
LOL true but even in the other "single color" tutorials, you have to use more than one color ;P

@@CamoSpecsOnline Well untalented and lazy me is doing cockpits with one color...well two if you count shiftcolors as two ^_^ Still I like watching these tutorials. I just don't have the time to do bother with the cockpits much. On most figures they are so small that I can't even tell if there is more work done when playing. I just do table ready stuff.
