Really good technique. Always enjoy the content. Alpine makes quality stuff. It's just so frustrating that they don't seem capable of making combat posed figures for people who build dioramas. Alpine figures are great if you're putting on a das Wehrmacht fashion show.

Hey man, great videos! Actually planning to use these to kick off my very first model ever-- some German infantry from Master Box-- and I'm definitely going to go and purchase from the links to materials in this video and your "faces made easy" description. One question-- what cement do you use to bond pieces? I was looking at Tamiya's extra thin cement on Amazon, but not sure what the best brand to use is. Recommendations? What do you use?

Hi Hank. Great videos. Rediscovering scale modelling after many years. Just watching this video as about to paint the figures from the Tamiya SAS jeep kit and hoping to use your techniques. When painting the different colour layers on the faces, do you allow each layer to dry before the next or does the blending of the layers require the layers to be wet. Thanks in advance.

Awesome! Love the finished work. I’m new to painting so am a little confused with the zenithal priming in this process. The subsequent color paint is so opaque and seem to have covered up the light and shadow of the zenithal layer. I assume it was intentional and glazing method was only on the face? I thought glazing would look more transparent if it was also done on the uniform? The later wash layer really made a big difference and brought out the details. Thank you for the awesome demonstration video!

Thank you for watching! Yes, the glazing on the body was a little thicker than I'd initially wanted, but each time is a learning experience 👍

I don't know what I did wrong. also my thinner is not like water. Howdy! I've not used mig myself, but if it is an enamel based wash, you may have to use mineral spirits (or in England, white spirits as I am led to believe.) Double check, but that is what I have done with similar products myself. I hope this helps!

@SpruesNBrews
@SpruesNBrews Год назад
Sure! I use Krazy Glue (superglue), but any cyanoacrylate glue should get the job done. Sometimes I have to hold the figure in place a little longer than other times for the glue to cure fully. Also, sanding the screw & figures foot down a little bit can help with adhesion. Happy painting! 👍
