Hi Paul. When erasing the remote memory, all paired remotes are removed from the gate motor, but can still be paired back to that motor again. Most gate and garage motors in Australia operate off a 433.92mHz frequency but have different internal coding. This means that each motor can be paired individually to remotes.

Hi Chris, If they aren't genuine Richmond remotes, they are unlikely to work. The frequency is the same for almost all gate and garage motors in Australia but the internal coding changes for each manufacturer. You can contact any of our branches to buy a genuine remote. Hi Richard, Unfortunately the rest process will erase all of the paired remotes. BUT...you can still pair the 2nd or 3rd button on a remote using the same pairing process. Button #1 will stay paired along with the extra button.

Hi Rick, Unfortunately, we don't currently have a visor clip remote. You will need to purchase one from another manufacturer. You will also need to purchase an external receiver from that same manufacturer. I have explained in further detail below. With advancements in mobile phone software, 'universal' remotes have become easier to replicate. Naturally this is a security concern, so most manufacturers now use unique coding for their gate/garage motors and remotes. To use a different manufacturers remote on your gate/garage motor, you will need to add an external receiver from the same manufacturer as the remote. For example. To use a Richmond remote on a Merlin motor, you will need to fit a Richmond external receiver. Luckily, the external receivers are generally cheap to purchase and easy to fit. Hi Robert, I'm not sure what brand the AG070B remote is so I don't know anything about the programming unfortunately. If you have a Richmond gate motor then you will need a genuine remote to be able to operate the motor. Non-genuine remotes generally won't pair or operate correctly as they operate on different coding.

Hi Homies, No problem at all, you can pair to button #2 or button #3. First, erase the remote memory from motor #2 and then pair all of your remotes using one of the other buttons.

Hi Shiva, For security purposes, a non-Richmond remote will most likely not pair directly to our gate motors. You will need to check with Viper to see if they offer an external receiver, and whether this will allow the remote to be used on a gate/garage motor. If Viper are unsure about connectivity, then you can send a wiring diagram to our gate support team and they will do their best to help. gatesupport.richmondau.com

The gate motor memory can be reset at any time by simply pressing and holding the learn button for 10 - 12 seconds. This will wipe all remotes from the gates memory and the remaining remotes can then be re-learnt to the gate motor.

The motors can directly pair with 10 remotes or wireless keypads. If an external receiver is fitted, this allows up to 200 remotes or wireless keypads to be paired.

Hi Elvis, The motors in this video are manufactured in China and are designed for the residential market. To date, our GTR156 has done over 10,000 openings and is still running strong. Hi Bob, There a few different types of smart systems that will allow you to use an app on your smartphone to operate and monitor your gate. Unfortunately, due to safety, most of these apps are not approved for apple carplay or android auto. If you are just wanting to enter or exit your gate without using a remote, then you will need to fit a sensor that automatically detects your vehicle and operates the gate. We have a few different options available so it's probably best to give our sales team a call on 1300 474 246 to ask them which is best for your setup.

Hi Noel, Unfortunately we don't have an outlet store outside of Australia and New Zealand. We can ship internationally, but naturally this attracts significant freight charges as the motor weighs approx. 16kgs.

Hi Panama, Just pair the remotes again using this video. You only need to press the 'LEARN' button for 1 second before pressing your remotes.

Hi. If you are wanting to reset the remote controls you can simply hold the 'Learn' button for 10 - 12 seconds. This removes all remotes from the motor and you can then pair our compatible Richmond remotes again.

Hi Ari, On these slide gate motors, the 4th button on the remote will operate the pedestrian function. This is the small button furthest from the keyring.
