Brilliant video I hope more ppl watch this on time and do follow you for more cause you're the best!!! 😻
You are billiant! Thank you for this. I am so nervous... my exam is in less than 2 weeks and I am not prepared at all! Thank you for the point on jotting down the standards, will go and do that now!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this videos. Such honest review, especially your emphasis on studying the pack. A lot of people tends to see you as though you are wasting your time reading the pack instead of solving questions. Thank You!!!
Yeah exactly! Plus there’s a level of depth that studying the kit gives you in answering questions. From a point of knowledge and full understand not just rote learning. Thanks for watching!
Hi Betsy, thank you so much. I actually feel overwhelmed by the syllabus and will take your advice of going through my summaries of each standard. financial instruments and cash flows(especially that mix of tax and employee benefits) along with deferred tax giving me a headache....i have 10 more days to this exam and i want to be very judicious with my time. your advice will be hepful cuz i dont wanna write this exam twice....
@@coachbetsy Thanks for your help and encouragement. I wrote it and actually thought i had failed. Results came and it was a 69. keep doing what you do for us accountants chasing that plaque.Cheers
@@coachbetsy Hi ma'am, just found this channel. I'm an accounting student graduated 9yrs ago with HND in Nigeria and currently residing in UAE. Hoping you can assist with Ur vast experience on how my Dream of becoming an ACCA a reality.🙏
@@Rick3795Hey ik its been two years but im just attempting my SBR tomorrow and i wanted to know how the exam went for you, did you score this after intense committed practice or was it just an average level of commitment?
I failed SBR at 46. From my point of view the process to pass is to do at least 3 mock exam as well as past papers. This time I will clear. Best of luck
@@emmanuelmutebi6654 Yes I did! Scored 58% on first attempt. It is actually easier than I expected. I thought I would find plenty calculations but just as Betsy had highlighted, there is plenty of explaining as opposed to calculation, so it was kinda okay for me as I had a good grasp of accounting standards.
Hey Betsy, it is such a good work you are doing ,helping out students all around the globe . Right now am preparing for my performance measurement exam. I would love to hear from you if you can share a video for the tips regarding the preparation of the same.
Thank you for the helpful video Betsy. Sounds like you sat SBR and AAA together? Can I ask how many weeks you prepared? I work in accounts and audit and I'm considering doing either SBR alone or with AAA to March 2023. The AAA classroom course starts on 19th Jan 2023 which only gives 6 weeks to prepare, is this achievable? I can start SBR now and study over Christmas break as I already have the materials.
Thank you for the informative video. Question : Would you suggest BPP or Kaplan exam kit? I am currently studying this paper via Open Tuition platform and would like to purchase any of these two kits to expose myself to Q&A techniques and application. Many thanks, Vee
Hi, Great video. How much of FR paper do you need to know? I sat the FR paper about 6 years ago and had to take a long break due to work and family. I have just done the SBL and I think it went ok. I will get my results in a month. For SBR would I need to brush up on producing financial statements again?
Hello, Yes you will need to brush up on IFRS, ethics and understanding consolidated financial statements. However, a good starting point is studying the study text as explained in the video. All the best in SBR.
Hello Ada, first is to ensure you’re not holding unto to irrelevant information. Not sure how best to explain it, but not every part of a syllabus/bi is examinable, some are really for knowledge sake and you might be able to discern it from how they are rarely tested. So once you focus on the key areas, make some notes, try to close your note and verbally discuss what you read in soliloquy . A few ways I think that it worked for me.
Hey Betsy... I m an Indian CA.. I am planning to give all 4 ACCA professional level papers in DEC 2022.. Will i be able to pull off the same?? Your reply would mean a lot to me..
Hello Meena, this is largely dependent on your personal capacity and study time you have available to you. You can definitely pass all 4, but it won’t be an easy task .
Hi Betsy, Which order would you recommend doing the exams. I am struggling with deciding weather to do SBL or SBR first? I have heard SBL is much easier and be a good way to ease myself into the Strategic level exams?
Hmm this really depends on you. Sorry I can’t be of too much help here. I started with SBR and AAA because they are my strong points since I was an Auditor (at the time) and know my IFRS easily. I’m going to say start with the one you think you can pass best, which will gear you for future success in the rest.
Hi Betsy, I just stumbled on your video and I'm also an Ican convert. Please can you please share me you study packs. I'm writing SBR, AAA, SBL and Tax.
Not really, I scarcely opened a few pages I printed from there to deeply understand some standards. Regardless, open tuition is generally a great resource for ACCA. I recommend.
Hello Betsy, I am Indian CA by profession wanted to attempt June exam for SBR by starting now but some have suggest that it is not enough time..after watching ur video thinking that i can.. What is ur take on these..that whether i should give jun or sept.. I am just starting my ACCA career..
You have a little less than 2 months which is good enough if you’re naturally good at your standards. It’s really up to you, I prepared in about that time with work and other commitments but if you don’t feel ready, I would advise you skip till sept .
Kaplan or BPP learning are the approved providers . Either one is great. Just get the text and revision kit and use them both from the same brand for ease of flow.
