1:50 Problem is not just paths crossing between planes!! If there's currents in one of the planes, they can cause mv differences in potential between the two relative ground planes. Due to their differences they just act as a dipole antenna, and emit noise. So even if you have neatly separated the two planes and no traces crossing, you can still inadvertently create an antenna and thus EMI. You are very correct though that just having a big, unbroken ground plane (preferably as close as possible to the traces), is generally the way to go. You can do a lot of harm and create tons of problems by trying to split planes.
Again great video and great content - but like the other one it's so intense with the music, the crazy fast talking, and the camera movements. If I was prone to epilspy attacks I would definitely not be able to watch it :D
But actually checking the new videos I think the audio compression used on your voice is really extreme and hurts my mixing engineer ears :D Comparing with other videos you can really turn it down, your videos are even louder than the ads ;) But really thanks for the content because it's still really useful, and there is pretty much no RU-vid channel focussing on EMC so thank you for that :) Just trying to help you improve the content ;) Cheers Simon

@@DrEMC-sf8rx My pleasure :) You can add 4) avoid sudden jumpy camera shots. But other than that it's great, and like I said the content itself is really promising ;) And for the pace maybe not everybody will agree with me, people tend to want fast info. IMO it's important to let the viewer enough time to assimilate the info. So I guess it's about finding the middle ground (pun intended) between super fast pace and too slow with long "uuuhhh" in the talking ;) So something slow but where it keeps moving forward if that makes sense ;) Cheers Simon
