Just now started my CPA journey and most of the videos on this platform seem to be 3-5 years old. Thank you for providing current information!!! Good luck on REG!! I will be looking forward to that video
I recently passed far and reg, for which your videos helped a lot. Now I am about to start studying aud, watching your video has become some kind of a ritual for me, thank you for your videos!
Audit is my last exam passed. On Audit you dont need to take notes. Watch lecture, do at least a portion of MCQ then sim exam and review last week. Youll be good
Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan
Hi, Thank you for making this video. I just started studying AUD using Becker. Did you do unit review and the Mini Exams while you go through the materials? Could you share more details of how you do it?
@@talk2see I think that's a universal challenge which can be faced in all professionals course and even I had faced that while doing CA ( Indian CPA ).
Any tips on the actual exam simulations? I've heard they are more complex than the becker simulations. Did you think the becker sims were efficient at getting you prepared for the real exam?
I think so. They are very similar. I would say the main difference is that the real thing might have a few more exhibits which is always tedious. Also, there is one that I think is like a trial one. I had no clue what to do but I don’t think they count it. My tip would be to not freak out if you see something you haven’t seen before. A good thing about audit SIMs (compared to FAR) is that they are conceptual rather than numerical. Therefore, you get to pick between options rather than having to calculate a specific number which is always helpful.
If you do 2 to 3 modules a day no way to finish studying in 4 weeks!!! There are 57 modules diving that on 2 = 28 days, so no time to do the mini exams and the final review!!!
Hi thanks for the video xx I have one question regarding the similarity between questions in Becker and the actual questions in the exam. Is the question style/difficulty similar? I saw that your actual test score was 11 points higher than the practice test but I was still wondering! Also do you find the lectures very helpful? Did you read the textbook prior to listening to the lectures? Woah that's a lot of questions 😂😂 Thanks xx
I’d say Becker questions are a lot harder. They got more into the details of each section and they try to trick you. I found the CPA questions more straightforward in a sense. I’d say if you’re doing good on Becker you’ll do great on the actual exam. As for your second question, I did read the book before watching the lectures. I thought it was a good way to make sure I understood everything. Some people might think it’s overkill but it really worked for me. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@talk2see Oh and I have one more question! I bought the Becker passmaster (online program) about a year ago and it's still valid rn. Is the content material (lecture, e-book) all updated up-to-date?
@@doomy6415 I know the online version is always updated. They release new versions as they make updates to the exam so you should be good there. As for the book, make sure you order the latest version. I ordered an older version once by mistake and had to pay 30$ extra for an additional one😔
Ricky- for Audit and FAR I studied around 8 hours a day. I was lucky that I was able to study during the summer. For BEC, I was only able to get 2-3 hrs of studying per day since I started working full time.
I have 8 years experience of Big 4 doing statutory audit. Would you suggest me if I start doing MCQ's directly. Its been a while I left Big4, approx 6 years.
