How to Pass the CMA Exam - ON YOUR FIRST TRY 

Hello nathan, I'm abhi from india. I'm in final year of my graduation and i want to be a us cma..but one of my biggest fear about cma is how tough it is? ActullY I'm good in theoretical questions but not that much good in practical questions, so what i do?? I have to do this course or not? How can i join your course and how much i have to pay you and which cma review course you will provide and how many hours/day class you will provide...offline or online videos?? Plz answer nathan,coz there's no one who can guide me properly... from my side i can give u maximum 270 hours per month..enough??

Hi Abhi! Great to meet you! You've asked very good questions so let me break it down one by one :) 1) How tough is the CMA exam? The global pass rate is very low which speaks to the difficulty of this exam. But it is possible to pass on your first attempt by using the correct study program that fits your learning style. 2) What should you do if you're not good with computational type of questions? This is a one-word answer, practice! Taking practice exams will help you get better at this to the point were you'll be able to answer all 100 questions in your exam within 3 hours. 3) Should you take a CMA review course? Absolutely yes! The CMA content outline covers a wide range of topics. A review course covers all of those topics to help you zero in and focus on what's important to pass your exam. 4) How can you join my course? Hi Darsana, I'm so excited for you! If you follow the strategies I laid out in this video, you'll pass your exam in October. Whenever I felt like I didn't have time to study for my CMA exam, I added study time to my calendar. This was very helpful since it was an appointment with myself. Anything that came up would get postponed because I already had "plans". May be worth trying :)

Hi Harsha, if you University is on IMA's list, then you shouldn't worry about it. Your degree from your University qualifies. The CMA is a global designation.

You need a minimum of 50% in the MCQ section to open the essay section of the exam.

Hi Dema, study for at least 20 - 25 hours per week. After a few weeks assess if that's too much, just enough, or too little and adjust your study schedule from there onwards.

@@Cmacoach I have no accounting background, should I study the same time period? I could put in 3-4 hours of study on weekdays. (Unemployed).

if you can study 4 hours/day, I think 4 months is enough time. But don't book your exam until you have completed at least half of your review program. You'll have a good idea of how long it'll take you to finish the second half and be able to make a better decision of when to book your exam.

Hi Sunny, Before diving into questions, it's super important that you spend enough time learning the concepts by reading textbooks, watching video lectures, etc. The questions are meant to reinforce what you have already learned, not be the actual study tool only. Does this help?

But I don't know that how I should I apply that formula or concept of that particular sum or questions. Basically I want to know how should I apply my concept and understand that questions

Sunny, a great hack to learn how to apply equations is by reading the explanations of the correct answers in your test bank. By following the steps shown in the answer, you'll learn how to apply the formulas/equations. You're pretty much reverse engineering the answer. Hope this helps.
