I actually taught in New York and I am about to get certified here in Tennessee. The score you have to get here in Tennessee is reasonable. New York requires a score of 520 if you take the test on the computer. I am praying for you all and myself to pass.
Buy a book that has 3-6 tests in it. Do all the tests and determine where your weaknesses are. For the pedagogue test do all the practice tests over and over until you get 90% correct. Also read the correct answers explanations, one can learn from that. For essays make sure you understand what the grader is looking for. Opening statement, details, closing summary, how many many paragraphs expected. Etc
LOL, I am using Navaed for the LA. That is the last one I need to take for the praxis. My friend who recently took hers and said that for two weeks straight and watched her videos and just watched her videos for the portion I need to take, she passed. I take mines in two weeks, and I will be watching the videos for the next two weeks. I just have to take the praxis 5001. I already passed three of the section so far. I am not going to lie I didn't study for those sections. I am not going to lie that studying for the Language Arts is kicking my ass and scaring me but thanks for the video.
@@berryeducational Thanks! I am not going to lie I was tempted to reschedule my exam but I am not going to. I can do it. I think the only thing that sucks is that I don't know if I am learning anything but who knows.
I just got my papa writing score last night and I only got 196. I haven't taken my reading and math tests yet but I am already anxious to die... Then I searched video on RU-vid and found this video and I just ordered the book. I hope I could pass the tests at one time 😭😭 Thank you for the video!
Thanks girl! I just started studying and want to puke. I paused your video and ordered the book right away. I feel way more guided after watching this!
The reading part was traumatizing! They put long difficult texts there to analyze but the time was not enough! It was hard to read and analyze all of them and then answer in a minute or two!
I have ba degree in general studies but I am trying to get my certification and I been dying learning and do research on that test, thank you so much..
Congrats! I'm preparing for the Praxis and it's really a struggle for me in the reading section. Low accuracy and TIME IS NOT ENOUGH! Could you do me a favor and tell me any suggestions for the reading section? Thanks!
Look for certain clues with in the text.. I’m an English Ed major! Also talk yourself through the question of how you would answer it, “what sounds the most right?” Cancel some answers out then pick the one that makes the most sense
Hi! If you haven’t passed the test, please look for Kathleen Jasper in RU-vid. I struggled in the reading and writing but I followed her methods and I passed!
I have the same study book, but I think the essay section is lacking because it didn't offer any sample essays or prompts within the book. The guide didn't state the components of each essay, as well.
"Praxis II-EC Education of Young Children Exam" is required in New Hampshire for K-3rd grade. Hours of search online turns up no way to schedule a test by that exact name. They only have "Education of Young Children (5024)." Are they the same?
I have so much anxiety! For the math part, what kind of math is it. I try to look at different practice tests and they throw calculus at you. Does it have calculus? Are you only supposed to cite with an text for the essay or at the end as well? Do I make sense?
Is this for the parapro assessment test to become a paraprofessional? I SUCK @ math. That's my biggest weakness BUT I want to become a paraprofessional so badly!
It can be used for a para pro, however, you should check with your supervisor or co pros what praxis number you need to study for to be certified as a pro.
Your link to the praxis test book shows it is a reading test. Since this book covers three tests does it also cover math? Thank you for the hints. I took a SPED Praxis, I think the essays are were they can make you retake the test because essays don't necessarily have right or wrong answers.
I have issues breaking down what the problems are asking me and solving correctly. I've taken the praxis math over 9 times and have yet to pass. I'm looking for study materials that can really help me. Do you think the text you used could really help me or anyone who has suggestions that'd be great!
I was going to schedule it but was afraid I wouldn’t be able to reschedule. But why not take the exam during the summer. Why take it when I’m still taking classes and I’m so busy already?
Hey hi I m also prepare for this exam. I just want know, can I use pen and paper for math? I want give exam from my home. So can use paper for math rough?
Nope. When you do at home tests you are allowed to have a white board or laminated piece of paper that erases easily but no notes or writing can be on it prior to starting.
I took them combined which was A LOT! If I were to have to do it again, I would take the reading and the math together and the writing separate. A 5 hour test is a lot and by the time I got to the writing section I was burnt out.
Thank you for this video! I’m super new to praxis (totally changing my career). Is praxis core for everyone ? I’m aiming to get my p3 cert and know I have to take 5025 early ed but I’m seeing praxis core pop up a lot. I’m very lost.
Thanks, I purchased both books to prepare for my test in 3 weeks , but in Cirrus book pg. 94 I am confused about how the 3/4 is the slope. Is there a site that explain it ?
I don't have the book however the slope is just the relationship between x and y. In general, making a table and knowing where the slope intersects the x and y-axis helps you determine the values of x and y. Coordinates -8,4 with a 3/4 slope y = mx+b 4 = (3/4)(-8) + b 4 = (-6) + b 10 = b -> put this back into the main formula with the slope So the slope-intercept equation is: y = (3/4)x + 10 Hope this helps.
🥳🥳I took my exam and made it thanks to Mr Clark who helped me with tutoring during my studies.I want to recommend you all to him he has good tips and questions for everyone willing to study with him.I just studied just for a month and now am very happy for the good job.🥳🥳

Dude how are you coming in here correcting anyone on anything with a comment that’s basically nonsensical. “Prax is not prax ees” If prax is not prax, then what is prax? Come on…
Anybody who cannot pass the Praxis is a loser. I am endorsed to teach 8 different subjects by virtue of passing these stupid tests. They are so easy, I do not consider them an exam. I see it as purchasing a right to teach. ETS is not interested in being a gatekeeper that ensures only the most qualified people are in classrooms. They pass people who score in the 25th percentile. It is a sad affair.
@@swayback7375 I’m not a troll. It is the truth. They are passing people who score as low as the 25th percentile of all test takers. People are failing the tests and getting licenses to teach. Educators are some of the dumbest professionals out there.
