Just the video I was looking for. I have a few large plumbing patches that need to be repaired. I like your technique but I think I'm still going to hire someone. 😅
Thank you for this video. I basically destroyed my drywall to fix a few small holes. And if I didn't find this, it would be much harder to repair. Thank you so much for all the steps!
Glad to help many more patching videos on the channel this is an older videos so maybe we watch a few of the other ones that I have so you kind of see the process of doing a whole lot of patching videos so watch watch comment comment comment like like thank you
just started drywall, or "plaster" as we call it in australia. Guys listen to this man if you want strong sexy patches in the shortest time with no sanding/dust! Yes the michelangelo of hot mud
Maybe it’s just me but I feel like the top and bottom horizontal joints should have had some backing to strengthen the joints. Seems like a big span for rough joints. Also never ever recommend premixed compound for bedding in mesh tape. It’s fine for top coat but mesh has a tendency to crack if hot mud isn’t used for the first coat
Is there a way to mud the seams if a cut piece to keep original paint and texture? I’m an electrician and have to cut drywall. I’m looking for a way to repair drywall using the cut piece and just to mud the seams. If that makes sense
You're going to have to add backing install the original piece of sheetrock you have to always tape and you always have to cope you can just mud over it you have to tape the seams with the fiberglass mesh tape I have over 100 videos showing how to patch so watch a few videos so you know the process there's no other way
I did a small patch on my wall at home, about 1' square. Now that I'm done, ive noticed i have a slight bulge around the bits i went over with tape. Does patching the wall mean i have to bring a large area of the wall around the patch out to make it look flush?
Very impressive, although the sound was very low The few times I do repairs I keep forgetting the sponge trick soon after laying down the first coat then it becomes too hard to work with 🙄
optional just 3m glue to tack hold fiberglass in place not needed i just use it many videos on channel show why i use this so ul see by watching more videos, thanks for subscribing
@@drywallrepairman thanks! I have a small project in my garage this weekend. I’m replacing broken/cracked drywall that I’ve been putting off for a while.
Old camera and yes I'm working in people's homes with the homeowner and other room so I can only talk so much on these videos that I'm not voicing over most of the newer videos are voiced over the older ones are done in clients homes while talking
