I like the microwave method if I have some cloves that I will immediately need to peel and use. I like the jar and shake method best for bulk purchases (Costco or Sams) where I have 20+ heads to peel and then freeze the cloves.

The microwave is a good tip ..can't believe i had to sit through the whole video to get to it ..the first two methods we all use ..don't we?

I tried the shake method once. Don’t ask me how, but the plastic container cracked and lost a segment. Guess those cloves were having none of it.

worked out the microwave method for myself about a month ago. It works a treat, but be careful, they're very hot even after a few seconds

the best non invasive one is the shake method in my humble opinion. : )
