I tell my students who make fun of my natural lifestyle that they’re very blessed to have everything available to them nowadays that we didn’t have. I was very happy when at my 36th high school reunion, a friend announced that I was into natural before anyone else knew what natural was. My sensitive eczema scalp didn’t like relaxers and my dry hair was never moisturized enough to not look like a wool winter cap.
