I know this is for demonstration and teaching purposes but the victim should be flat (Not on that pillow) and they need to mention that a CPR board should be under the victim if on a mattress (or to take them off of the mattress). Many headboards in hospitals detach for this reason. The student performing compressions also really needs to work on her positioning, her arms were way to loose. Other than that I think these instructors did alright teaching.
For information to other readers, whilst the book says the patient must always be flat, it is accepted amongst health care professionals that pillows can be used to keep an airway open and has been for some time. Hospital mattresses are also normally suitable for doing CPR on these days, at least here in the UK.
Headboards detach so you can get to the patient/airway management and a CPR board is not used anymore during an in hospital arrest and are not part of any UK on hospital resus guidelines.
I'm a nurse and in my entire nursing career, I didn't get to do any CPRs because no such conditions ever rose, eventhough I worked in the ICU too. So,my skills r/t CPR is just limited in theoretical and practical knowledge and demo at nursing school; and I'm not sure if I'd be able to perform it if I ever need to do it.
with regards to delivery of shock I think there is interruption going on! While charging the AED they can resume compression and after shock delivery they can resume compression immediately.
Did a basic life support class today and the person teaching us pretty much left us on our own watching the video on a laptop and i ended up hurting my hand while practicing the skills part since she didnt show us how to do it.
Next time you guys should use roomier environment and make it educational environment, than so close to each other as if is not a class room base teaching
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV, Jesus Christ is the only way.........
Those sessions or learnings are always awkward Both teachers are bad at representing And they forget they own the place and teach at it many years ,, and they are the older So why are they insecure ? I dont know
