In manual failover, we can perform Complete Failover and Immediate Failover. In the complete #FailOver, it attempts to minimize #data loss by applying all #redo log generated on Primary #Database will be applied to a #standby database. This is the default method of failover.
In immediate failover, no additional data is applied on a standby database. This is fastest and we need to explicitly define this.
00:00 What is a Failover?

Hello Dear. I have a question. My enviroment information like this. A >Primary DB 12c B>First Physical Standby DB 12c C> Second Physical Standby DB 12c. We will perform failover test from A to B in my company. Temporary I will cancel MRP on C. After failover I will reinstate A using flashback technology there is no problem here. I will start MRP on A and there is no problem here, also. After tests are completed I will switchover from B to A. A will be primary and B will be standby as before. As you know after failover, B will have new incarnation and log numbers are reseted. After all tests if I start MRP on C, what will happen? I think that I will lost my C physical standby db. Because A and C will have different incarnation, right? If you clarify, appreciated!
