I Will Be Watching You well said +1 for you, that's why i love their channel so much, all they ask is ideas or questions for futures shows and ***** no they have been around for quite some time now and even when they were 'small' they never ask ppl to like, subs or comment just for the vid to be popular!

I like how they don't say the word "opinion" unlike some youtubers who are obsessed with that word. Shit gets annoying with other youtubers and their redundancy, but not Buffdudes.

I put Pendlay rows in my 5x5 routine instead of normal rows, twice a week with pullups, my lat progression was pretty noticeable. Such a great exercise.

Buff dudes are truly the most underrated fitness channel on youtube. Sure they're not exactly showing anything new. But they describe things in such specific detail with key points and examples its much easier to learn, as well as retain the information for when i'm actually in the gym. Don't get me wrong I love other channels too, but its refreshing to get something that isn't just "Grab the bar at shoulder width, lift it to your chest and you're done!"

Great vid. How about a video on the difference between the romanian deadlift and stiff leg deadlift as well as commentary on what each are used for and when to use one over the other. They are both so similar that I don't think a lot of people (including myself) truly understand the difference.

I never got injured from dead-lifts nor squats, but last month, I was doing the back rows I and felt a big stretch in my back. It was crazy I could not even bend down. It felt like being an old geezer. I was wearing a belt when I was doing it, and I think the belt put more stress on me rather than helping and supporting.I was so thankful nothing pop up, it was only a stretch. Now I'm back to gym with full motivations.

Pendlay row is wider than shoulder width, little finger should be on the widest loop hole on the bar, you also pull to your sternum, back should be parallel and knees slightly bent.

I have knee problems and I would really like to see a video about compound exercices for legs, like squats, for people ho have knee problems like me. I know they can be done, but I don't know exactly how to do them. Is it with less weight or it's more about the execution? Thanks! (sorry for my english)

When the guy who created them talks about he mentioned that you back should be no more than parallel during the rep and your mid back is actually supposed to be slightly rounded during the start and end of the lift
@paulquick2169
@paulquick2169 9 лет назад
I disagree. You want to hold the back in neutral throughout. Set the back first and contract the hamstrings, glutes, and back muscles to stabilize the back position, then lock grip tight on bar, then lift. Take an instant to reset with each rep.

Can't resist mentioning an awesome variation: reverse the grip, look up, pull the bar so close to your shins that the bar is lightly touching them as you pull the bar up to the knees. Only then do you explode up, with head looking up and a very straight back. Squeeze the bar tightly into the lowest part of your sternum or slightly below and hold contracted there for a count of about 1 or 2 secs. Let straight down slowly with back still straight, feeling the burn in your spinal erectors and lats: those muscles are hit by this variation much more than any other bent over and is an excellent adjunct to regular bent overs, which hit the upper lats and traps and teres major etc. much more. This reverse grip variation is best done with very light weight, very slowly and with perfect form. Try to use a bunch of 10 lb. plates as needed so you can go down further, or stand on a platform.

It'd be cool if you guys could show the reps being done at different angles like the back or the side, or maybe even in slow motion to have extra form check.

I could only do 2-3 pull ups before I started doing pendlay rows. I incorporated Pendlay rows into my training for 8 weeks, not a single pull up or chin up. Then after 8 weeks I tried chin ups just to see and to my surprised I did 12 straight! I think it builds the muscles and explosiveness required for a pull up without the difficulty of being suspended in the air. Try it if you struggle with pull ups/chin ups
