It makes sense that the quantization can't work if we're late because it can't go back in time and play it _before_ we pressed the button. But I wonder if some contingency options are available. A sort of pocket threshold. If you hit the note right before the grid, then obviously you meant for it to play on that next gridline. But if you're wayyyyy early, beyond the "pocket threshold", then the system could assume that you're late, and then you could configure the desired behavior for late hits. Presumably the most popular choices would be "just play it now and don't quantize, as I'd rather be a little late than on the completely wrong beat" or "don't play that note at all, it'll sound better without it".

Useful, especially the input /output bit, although I'm not sure of how this would apply to a techno liveset perhaps that focuses more on developing a few synth sounds over time than playing melodies.

bro but what if u dont play an instrument :o i do soundscape stuff (might just be the wrong place) and i got the apc40 and a midi keyboard. wondering how i can avoid static play pressing besides some live modulation good video tho

Can anyone confirm for me if you are better off automating your instrument rack on and off to save on cpu? I was under the impression that whatever plugins aren't being used in the rack would pretty much be inactive, so I currently run all of my set patches through one rack rather than having 1 rack per song etc.

Are all your songs in the same tempo or can you change the bpm based on the clip that is playing?

I noticed with the fader all the way up on the APCmkII it stayed at 0dB instead of going up to +6dB. Where can you change this preference???
