You weren’t joking when you say permanent. I’ve honestly never seen or heard of anybody ever needing red loctite. Honestly I would use blue for this task.

Use BLUE loctite, it can be disassembled with hand tools. RED loctite requires heat (e.g., torch) to get off lol, a bit overkill for a table.

I would suggest not to use red locktite for wood furniture.

That particular screw is a crib/ barrel screw. And the thing he used to tighten it is a nut key 😊. @Anyone wanting to buy it - like me and don’t know the name.

So using threadlocker on bolt going to a threaded hole on wood is okay? I have this issue but on my gaming chair. The bolt loosens overtime and it squeaks everytime. Have to retighten them after a few days.

Red locktite needs to be heated to 500 degrees or something to remove. It’s stronger than steel until you do that. Blue locktite would be better for this application. Blue breaks loose without heat but won’t break loose under normal wear conditions.

What about when the metal base that the bolt screws into comes loose? I can't seem to get it to securely fit into the base on my IKEA table.

Can you use this on a hex screw? My door handle keeps falling off....I screw it in and maybe a month or two I'm doing it again

so I used screws to mount a fire extinguisher bracket the screws were perhaps too small so I tried screwing into anchors while putting it through 3 washers each any ideas please thank you ?

What happens when you want to dismantle your furniture (i.e bed) for transport?

If you use the loctite blue you will be able to disassemble with hand tools, but you will likely need to clean the bolt of loctite residue before reassembly. If you use loctite red you will not be able to disassemble (red requires heat to remove, and I don't think blow torches mix well with wooden furniture).

Hi, i have a loft bed that i need to fix and when i put it together the screw that goes into the other screw fastener? doesn't hold and falls right now...will this work for that? thanks!
