what if you use a different type of stitch? would this work the same with a different stitch?

How about a tutorial video on how to use the grid paper by transferring the alphabet letters to the grid like a step by step video so that beginners can learn it the right way. Hi, how do you match the size of the printed graph paper with the size of the stitches? Or does it matter? I want to make sure the word I knit is in the centre of the jumper and not off to one side, and the letters are not too big or too small on the jumper
