Golden hour is the best time to shoot in my opinion. For me, it is all about the shadows and the angle of the sun. Golden hour plays nice with my lens and camera when I shoot directly into the sun as well. All of my landscape shots are beaches. Something about golden hour and the beach....

Golden hour is one of the best times of the day to shoot, for sure, but it's not always feasible for everyone. In my opinion, it's good to be flexible and go out with your camera whenever you can. Beaches and golden hour are a perfect combo though 🙌🏻

Keep an infrared filter in your kit and those "boring" bright blue skies will be super dramatic black. I am convinced there is no such thing as non-photography conditions. Just different.

I've wanted to try infrared photography for a little while now, maybe I should invest in a filter soon! But agreed, there's no such thing as non-photography conditions 👏🏻 Use whatever weather you have to your advantage.

Whatever works for you. For me getting up very early, and driving/hiking to a place I have scouted beforehand is half the fun. As to how to handle it when the light doesn't turn out great in the morning...well, I am already there and can do the harsh light shots too, and I also have my macro with me for close-ups. Some kind of backup plan helps.

Of course! We all have our own ways of planning photography trips, at the end of the day whatever makes you happiest is best for you 🙌🏻 I love going out for a morning hike, but it's not always feasible with my work unfortunately 😅 I am hoping that my next trip will be a morning one though 🤞🏻

I'm not Welsh but I believe it's pronounced more like tri-fan and the tri part is pronounced as in trip or triple rather than trifecta.

Nice video mate! I did a video on this topic a few weeks back and the points you made in this video definitely ring true! I love that location too, somewhere i've photographed in similar conditions and it's definitely challenging! You got some good results 📸👌🏻

Thanks Chris! Yeah it's a beautiful spot, just not the best of locations to be in when it's that hot and sunny haha 😅
