How to Pick Any Luggage Lock 

Can't believe I found this video. This is exactly the suitcase and lock I was trying to open, found in a basement! I would have gotten it eventually but this saved a lot of time!

You saved my life!!! When I tried to show my little brother how the briefcase worked, one side wouldn't budge. After trying all 999 combos for an hour, crying for another, then scouring RU-vid for vids to help me, yours helped me to unlock the briefcase, of which I had my wallet and electronics in. outstanding I found a like new condition Skyway suitcase at Goodwill it was Selling for $30 and when I decided to makle the purchase we had learned that the Case was locked and that there was no combination available . I offered her $5 for it "as Is" determined that there would be a way to figure this thing out. $5 went down. First page I find on this JAil BReaking A Skyway was this video ureka ! I had it unlocked before the Video even got to the second number.... brilliant and genious thanks guys you rock.....

It worked!! Bought an expensive used Taylor guitar and the hard case had a combination lock very similar to luggage case. The dealer removed screws to make case usable without lock. This method worked and allowed me to use it. Thanks brother!

I purchased a locked Skyway bag cheap off eBay and came to this video after scrolling through all 999 possible combinations and still failing to get it unlocked. In addition to the shortcut of starting with the left hand cylinder, this video showed me I had to keep pressing the latch as I was trying the combination (I'd been doing it turn-the-cylinder, try-the-latch, let-off-the-latch, rinse and repeat). Unfortunately, my new bag's cylinders gave me no clicks or even any definite reluctance to go further. But when I repeated the recommended process using a screwdriver to press the latch instead of just my fingers, voila! it worked. So if you've had a go at this method with no success, try again with a little more sideways pressure on the latch.

Darn you're good. A note to others trying this - it didn't work with the numbers in the middle. Only when my numbers barely showed along the top edge. Hope this helps some of you. Cheers, Axel K.

Thanks for making. Before watching, I tried several sequences of numbers I was familiar with and had already set as security codes for other things I use. Nothing seemed to work. Figured I needed to hack into my own suitcase who's code I had forgotten, and found this video. Followed the steps, only to find the combination was "#000", which was the manufacturer default I apparently had never changed. LOL. Just goes to show sometimes the incredibly obvious answer is the correct answer.

Damn this method was super useful , it helped me out unlocking an essential luggage has been locked for 7 months and guess what, turned out that password was 000 😅 Luggage was suspended and in need for some hits on the edges

Once you find the combo.. here are the steps to change it to something more memorable. This only works for the above picture lock there may be similar steps on different locks. The screw slot to the left of the combo is actually a real screw. Whereas the right one is just cast into the lock. 1. Put in the correct code. 2. Turn that screw perpendicular instead of horizontal.

I've got a suitcase that seems to be impervious to this method as the dials aren't slotted with a simple fork to pass through. That means no feeling for the slots either 😕 Edit : I didn't check the other side of the dials which had tiny holes that indicated the code. Well, that was simpler than I thought :)

But, What if it is already OPEN and I want to reset the code to make it safer to use again'? I mean that the luggage is open, but the lock is locked. I was trying your trick but I couldn't unlock it. Not working, it seems my individual spinning spools for each number are not so individual. They want to move in unison. If I get one number to click then the next row of numbers also moves the entire first row off. It seems as if my combo thingy is broken, now what?
