Thank you thank you! I only ever hear colorists talk about choosing light medium and dark shades of each color. Your description about choosing analogous colors to make it more interesting was soooo helpful!!

I love to see how you color. Your pictures are beautiful. This method of picking colors is very helpful. I can hardly wait to try it. I particularly like your using colors based on the seasons because have always been fascinated with them. I live up in the mountains where there is a lot of forest and the seasonal changes are really clear.l enjoy making changes related to them and can now incorporate that into my color schemes.

Hands down the best video I have watched, and I've watched quite a few, on color palette choice, basic color theory, and color choices beyond your chosen palette!! I just commented on your coloring leaves basic technique and immediately came to this one. I don't see any other of your videos dedicated to color theory. Do you perhaps have any more I am missing or looking over? Because honestly, I have learned more from you in these past two videos of yours that I have watched then in the months of searching and searching RU-vid, FB, and Google.!!! Fabulous video!!!

This is a very beautifully colored picture. I have not been able to select a color pallet for any of the pictures in the many coloring books I have bought. I think this video might help me more than any other I have seen. I would like to know some of the places you find free color pallets on line, so I can try to learn to use them. I can already tell when colors seem to look good together and when I see a group that doesn't look good, I can tell that they don't. You would think that would help me. However, just trying to think up colors with no pallets to guide me, I am stuck. Your information on using the color wheel was really clear and helpful. I hope to see more of your videos on RU-vid, because that is one place I know how to use. I hope that You Tube has offered to help you find the scammer who stole your videos, bans that person from You Tube forever, and finds some way to help you to find a legal way of making him have to restore what he stole, and pay you for your losses and upset. What a horrible, disgusting person they must be. Someone just took advantage of me in a similar way, so forgive me if I sound overly angry. It is for your sake, not mine.

She shows in the video where to find colour palettes. She talks about it for several minutes.
@deepowers3117
@deepowers3117 11 месяцев назад
Perhaps you misunderstood my question because I said color palettes instead of color palette generators. Yes, she did talk about my question with the color wheel for several minutes, but I noticed that she pointed out that some colors within each "group" such as Monochromatic, or Analogous might not go as well with each other or blend as well together as others. I guess I just lack any confidence in my ability to tell which ones. I was never able to take any art or color theory classes and am very new to the world of coloring, so I am sorry that you thought none my of my comments or questions to be appropriate. I have the utmost respect for our very knowledgeable and extremely talented hostess and her beautiful artwork, and I love watching her videos.

I know this was a while ago now and you have probably found a solution already, but just in case or for anyone else looking for pastel coloured pencils, there is a set of 50 from a company called Astra in Poland. They are called Pastelowe and they are "dupes" for the Holbein pastel pencils and there are videos comparing the colours to show they are very, very close. The set has started being sold on Amazon too so you should be able to get it wherever you live.

They're just earth tone coloured pencils, so you'd be looking at animals or landscapes. If you know of any books with pictures like that then you can look for tutorials for those books and just exchange any pencils they use for similar colours you already own. You don't need to use the exact same pencils as in a tutorial.
