Cruisers are made more that skateboards are made for the sport

I think the issue is generally the people that buy boards, never ride them, (even just to get from A-B), but instead carry the board with them to get some type of validation/attention. Anyone calling you a poser for using a board as a mode of transport doesn't understand the concept of the word. You're a skater even if you simply use it for transport. In the same sense if you use your bike for transport you're a cyclist. But yeah there are posers out there, but that's the thing, they bought the board to look cool, or in other words pose as a skater. Keep pushing though, anyone riding a skateboard for any reason brings back a little bit of hope in humanity for me, even if it's simply because it's cheaper than buying a bike for transport 👍🏻🤙🏻

Anyone that calls someone else a poser spends too much time thinking and giving a fuck about what other people are doing. No one should give a fuck about what anyone else does with a skateboard, especially someone they don't know.

Well I used to skate bones until I tried formula four spitfire's and I love em. But I wanted a nice cruiser wheel and my skate shop said the clouds were close to OJ's but a little cheaper and the ditch formulas hold up better on impact because they're 86a. Hopefully my bearing doesn't pop out after backin there ish.. lol

overpriced skate shop prices. but that is the cost of supporting small business.

skeetmilenko , he got very high quality items and buying them from a skate shop is almost always more expensive then buying them on line. Your bearings and wheels should cost no more then 50$ each and the majority of that cost is from the wheels. You can find some relatively cheap abec 9 bearings on EBay or Amazon. Idk about the trucks though.

Just be glad you don't live in Australia hahaha, our dollar is shit compared to America. I bought the cheapest set-up I could from a local shop where the manager is a friend of mine who is on Flow for etnies. Even with a 30% discount free grip tape, free T-tool, "picture wheel company wheels", bones reds bearings, generic trucks that weigh a ton (legit no brand at all) and the deck was a shop deck with green stain, with the 30% discount it still cost $136. If it hadn't been for the generic trucks being on sale at $51 for a pair the price would have been $187 with the discount on top. Thunder hollows are about $120 a pair in Australia, base-line Independent trucks are anywhere from $90-$100 depending on the store... Can someone marry me so I can become a US citizen and live there?? I can't afford to skate the damn thing in case I need to replace anything...

I know I could buy an element complete for $100 but that's Chinese maple and worse trucks, wheels and bearings than what I've got, no point saving $36-$87 on a set up that won't last 3 months. You're better off paying the extra and getting some good quality parts so that the deck is the only thing you will need to replace in the short term, except for bushings I guess.
